I wanted to love these.
I received these Reusable Breathable Nasal Plugs by Nose Mask Nose Air Clean as part of a promotion. Here is what I found:1. The nasal plugs are a very, very soft, flexible silicone with a bit thicker base at the bottom. I found that this allowed for great pliability when inserting into the nostrils. They were not getting in there and scraping the inside of my nose to death from hard plastic.2. I think I measured my nose incorrectly because I could not get the plug all the way up into my nostrils. The pictures indicate that the rubber body should be flush at the base of the nose. I could not get mine in like that.3. If I had requested the correct size, I think this would have been more comfortable, so I do not want to blame the product for that.4. I did have difficulty breathing through the filters. That might be something that I could get used to over time, but I tried it out several times and so far it has not worked. This too might be because I have the wrong size plugs.5. At this price, I think that the package should include some extra filters.I had hoped to be able to use these at night to help keep my nasal passages open, especially if it could help with any snoring. That was not an advertised function that I remember, but I was hopeful. The only reason I removed a star was because I do think that the package should include some extra filters at this price. Any other objections that I had, I feel were due to incorrect product size which was my own fault.

Not sure
I had read about these nose filters online from someone who suggested using them instead of a mask. I had done only a little reading about them and found they seem to be used by some workers to reduce inhaling dust. I was curious and wondered if they might be an alternative to a mask.I'm small, so I ordered the small. I think the size is probably right but I'm not sure about the shape. This set comes with three plugs and a small case for storing a couple, once they have been opened or used. The instructions are clear that if you reuse these, you need to clean them (which would be obvious, but I had assumed that they might be for a single use, so the cleaning option is good.)The plugs have a slight odor that I didn't love right away, but I think you can get accustomed to it unless you have serious allergies to odors or scents. The plug seemed to go in one side better than in the other, so shape may be an issue for some of us. I wasn't going anywhere where I wanted to filter the air and I wasn't dusting or cleaning, so I decided not to leave the plug in because it was a little disconcerting. If I needed to be somewhere where I preferred filtered air, however, I know I could get used to having this in my nose, if I felt I couldn't wear a proper mask. There is no way for me to report on whether these filter plugs would prevent dust or viruses from making their way into my respiratory system because it's impossible to do a controlled test, and I'm not going to offer to expose myself to someone with a cold, just to find out! They do have what appears to be a tiny black filter in the silicone plug. Still, I'm glad to have these in case I need to be somewhere where I can't wear a mask, as the plug is really not very noticeable. I actually think it's less noticeable than my niece's nose ring which is there all the time.

Sizing instructions are wrong because nostrils are not cylinders
I was really rooting for these to work because they have more service area than other brands of nostril filters. More surface area means easier to breathe through. So these looked promising.I followed the sizing directions on the listing and ordered filters based on the width of my nostrils. But the problem is that nostrils are not cylinders, but these filters are, and the sizing instructions are based on the idea that you're nostrils are too. So if you fit the width of your nostrils with these cylinders they won't necessarily fit the length, as you can see in the photograph of a model of a nose. (I will spare you photographs of these "large" sized filters being too small for my own actual nostrils. If the filters don't fit right and are too small, as they are for me, air will just go around the filter and you'll breathe in unfiltered air. So you won't get any benefit from the filters. Some other nostril filter companies make their nostril filters shaped in ovals the way nostrils are shaped. I have no idea how you should estimate your fit with these things. Maybe I would fit the extra large? I'm not really sure because my nostrils are long and oval shaped, not cylindrical.I ordered the fancy "high-end" version, which I initially thought meant that it would have better filtration, but they come with some sort of awful scent. I would not advise getting this fancy version. Get the version that has no scent. If you really want to try these. The company really needs to offer a sizing pack with one pair of every size. It's too expensive to be buying these non-returnable filters that have the wrong sizing instructions in single sizes only to find out the single size doesn't fit.

They work!! Reusable and washable too!
I used these nasal filters when I went to the dentist for a root canal and I could see the fine dust (afterwards) that I would have breathed in. They are a must-have for me when I go to the dentist again. I'm sure there are other good ideas that I'll use them for later on. They are a keeper. Great product!!
