I took a chance on getting this clipper even though there were some not favorable reviews, and so far I have not disappointed. I have had this clipper for the past several months and wanted to use it several times before writing a review to see if the combs held up and determine the build quality of the clipper. I want to see if the negative reviews were isolated occurrences or not. The combs and the body of the clipper are solid. The clippers have some heft to the and the motor runs very quietly and smooth. There is a lot of power to the clipper, and the battery life is excellent. After about 20 minutes of use, it took less than 3 minutes to fully recharge the unit. The clipper did not get warm after extended use. The combs are gray, have a slight of bit of flex to the teeth, but overall appear solid. I have seen and handled the combs at my stylist's (prior to the shelter in place) and her's seen a bit thicker, but she did indicate that at some point they all break. Considering the price point of the set (~$70), I am satisfied with the ones on this set. A plus is that this comes with 11 combs in the range that I use, 3, 4, 5 & 6. Most other sets do not include this many combs or in this range. After 4 uses, the combs have held up and the clipper's body is still solid with no quality issues. The other aspect of the clipper is really like is the ability to adjust the depth of the cut with the depth lever. This allows me to adjust the cut length for each comb and allows me to blend the cut. Overall, I had not had an of the issues noted in some of the other reviews, and will update this review in a couple of months after a few more uses. So, I would recommend this cutter.

I'll start by saying that I am not a professional barber but I have been cutting my own hair since the college days (About 10 years now). I normally switch between my Wahl Color Pro clippers or my Andis Masters. It was time that I tried something cordless since I occasionally provide free back to school haircuts for low income families and didn't feel like hassling with wires. These Envy clippers are A1!! They are SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT and come with some decent guards right out the box. The guards are not professional but for home cutting, they serve their purpose. I can blend without any issues. Been wanting to try my first self high top fade to get rid of the nappy afro and I think I good using these clippers. Took me almost 2 hours since it was my first try but the battery life was great and I did not notice a lack of power. Pros: - Ultra Lightweight (almost too light but feels good in hand( - You can get corded power if the battery gets low - Comes with some stable guards, great for fading! - Lasts 2-4 hours on one charge - Power button and adjustment lever feels SOLID Room for improvement? - After 5 uses so far, I have no complaints at all.

Update 9/18/19: So after using these for daily cuts, fades, blending etc. they just stopped working. Thought they were just out of charge so plugged them in and indicator light came on. Emailed over to Andis and they responded that as long as they were under 1 year old still under warranty they would fix free of charge. Shipping my clippers off this week so will update when they are returned with a new update. I've been using the Envy corded model for clearing bulk and wanted to try a cordless clipper. After looking through options I bought the Envy Li and a fade blade. Swapped the standard blade with the fade blade and these are my go to now. Easily stays charged and very light weight but still has power enough for all day cutting. Shop I work in is very busy and I use these all day for all hair types and have had no issues. Good value for a cordless setup. Glad I changed out the blade to the fade blade for the closer cuts on my fades.

I had the brand recommended to me by a professional dog groomer, although she recommended a 2-speed model. My dogs are small (Yorkshires and ShihTzus). The single speed is sufficient. The kit of accessories is complete…no complaints! My grooming skills are good enough that I don’t use any attachment combs, but I might if I let them go too long between grooming sessions. All in all, having owned Wahl and Oster units in the past (kits from big box stores), these are comfortable in the hand, easy to adjust, easy to clean, and fairly quiet. If you’re new to even attempting to clip your own dogs (or people), I’d recommend watching several YouTube videos first. Practice is the key, as is having a stable table or grooming table to control your dog. Once my dogs are harnessed on the grooming table, they are very compliant. These clippers can handle fairly thick hair and do a good job at tight work on the feet and muzzle. For the price? I don’t think you’ll get a better clipper.

I am not a professional barber but would imagine that this clipper would meet commercial demands. While it is comfortable and lightweight to hold, it is also solidly built with as quiet a motor as one would expect and still deliver adequate power. It is packaged with a generous assortment of combs which are molded from durable plastic. The motor delivered enough power to cleanly cut through my hair which has grown quite long during COVID seclusion. Also used it to shave off my 4" beard with 1 pass. Haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life but am quite pleased having switched from another trimmer that lacked enough power. And we are buying from a long time established American company!

The pictures tell the story right? Since everything was closed, and when I search, these Andis Envy cordless popped up. I've bought the cordless Remington,wahl, and corded Oster. They don't even add up to how good these are I had my daughter who never cut hair first husband. LoL His hair was thick really curly. She had no issue cutting his hair. Yes he guided her a bit. My hair was easy a number 3. I finshed up my beard. With all the blades as are listed so much more then the others which my son says. Now you can finally give me a good hair cut. My final word is these are the best I've used. I'm 57 years old ,and have cut a few heads of hair. The weight the size ,and all the different sizes of the blades it's a good first or even a upgrade! I'm going to gift my son in law and son each one on there birthdays. Thank you Amazon and the all the workers! We Really appreciate You all. Bought it Jan 2023. Worked good. Stopped working after 2.5 years of use. All of a sudden the motor failed. I took the clippers apart to clean it out and put it back together but no luck with this one.

Without a barber available for the foreseeable future I had to look elsewhere. A friend who's been cutting/buzzing himself for years told me to forget the barber, just do it yourself, a buzz is easy. He recommended an Andis and the price on this model was attractive. VERY satisfied so far. Cuts like butter on my thick hair and I got a very presentable cut on the first try. I look forward to getting better at it and having years of the liberty to give myself a clean look whenever I want. For those who are newbies to home cuts like I was, this unit is a great solution. Much sturdier feel and action than the Wahl tools I've used over the years.

Great product for the price. I normally prefer a corded hair clipper because I hate charging but this clipper is nice and light and easy to handle since there is no cord. I charge it after every use because I find it dies out on the second time I use it and I have short hair. So the battery life could be better but not a real issue if you just charge it after you use it. Lots of clipper size choices as well which I like for fades. Great product for the price and would recommend a try if you’re looking for a cordless clipper.
