And where from?** A: Yes it is ...It's very good quality bit smelly at first I gave it wash down with some soapy water and now it's fine. **Q: Is it vegan?** A: Because cork can be harvested without killing the tree ( the tree grows new cork bark) vegans are usually happy to use cork. **Q: It comes with a bag or handle to carry on?** A: No mine didn't come with either. However it's the best exercise mat I've ever bought!! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheapest cork mat I could find, and happy so far *by A***R on 20 July 2020* I have had this for about 3 weeks now. I wanted a cork mat, but the other options were too expensive for my budget, so I was happy to find this one and decided to give it a try. It arrived quicker than the expected date, which was nice.It comes rolled up in plastic, and I can definitely agree with other reviewers that the smell after you take it out was overwhelming and disturbing. However, after having it for about a week, the smell was mostly gone, and now after three weeks even in positions close to the mat I cannot smell anything anymore. So, if that is a concern, I definitely wouldnt worry about it too much.The second concern I found on here is that the mat does not stay down properly. I can say that I also had the issue with the mat, and in the beginning it did annoy me a bit - it was not enough to keep you from practicing, or to really throw you off, but the matter stubbornly stayed this way for a while. However, again, as of writing this the mat has accepted its fate and lost the bend - its not completely flat on the ground. I have to say that I keep the mat unrolled most of the time, so that probably helped a lot, and I would definitely recommend it in the beginning.Now, how is the mat overall? I have to say that, for the price, I am quite happy with it. I am just starting to begin yoga, but I feel like the mat is grippy so that I wont lose my footing, deals with sweat relatively quickly, and just overall has a nice and quality touch to it that I prefer over the feeling of plastic. I cant vouch for the "naturalness" behind it (other people have written more about this here), but I do feel its probably at least a little step up from the normal plastic yoga mats we are used to. It also looks excellent - its a very simple design, but looks and feels well made to me. Again, three weeks of doing different things with it, and I have also yet to discover any visible greases or folds in the mat.Overall, for this price, I can definitely recommend it, if you have a little patience with the smell and fold.
