This has been perfect for ranging my photos and it would be awesome for golf.
5 out of 5 Stars (5)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐[TL;DR][QUALITY] (5/5)[VALUE] (5/5)[EASE OF USE] (5/5)[MET EXPECTATIONS] (5/5)[PACKAGING] (5/5)[REVIEW REMARKS]I am not a golfer any more, but this Golf Rangefinder is very multi-use.My use case is a little variant to that of other users of this product. You can definitely use this for golf, but other uses would include hunting, hiking, and photography.I love shooting photos in the warmer months. I also like to gauge the range of my photography equipment, mainly new lenses. I love how this rangefinder calculates distance up to 1200 metres, or 1.2 kilometres. So, when working with stationary objects like landmarks, I find it helpful to know how far an object is away from you. This allows me to test my camera gear and gauge the distance each of my lenses are capable of shooting photos clearly. This is not something I have done in the past, and some could argue "who cares". I always wanted to know how far an object is away, and now I can figure that out with accuracy. The battery life is excellent and it is efficient with battery discharge. I like that it is rechargeable and you are able to top up your battery using a power bank, which makes this quite portable. The kit comes with everything you need from a case, charge cable, cleaning cloth and manual. The case is like a semi-hard shell and does a great job protecting the device when not in use.I mentioned that this can be used for hunting and hiking, also for similar reasons. Knowing how far away a distant point is from your location is important to judge your distance, slope etc. This rangefinder does all of this. Hunters can spot and range their prey and use this knowledge to calibrate aim. I do not hunt, but it is a similar concept to shoot photos; you want to be within a clean range of the target. Hikers can judge distances and figure out how far landmarks may be away from their location and plot a route, or view the path they travelled to get an idea of distance travelled. Also, very helpful. All in all, if you are looking for this type of device, always look for a quality device. I have been looking for a rangefinder for a few seasons now, but finding models that were only capable of 400-600 meters for accurate readings, or better range for much more money. This rangefinder from TAKENJOY is double this range (1.2 km) and it has multiple modes (slope calc, golf flag lock, and speed measure to name a few) which adds value to this device and makes the price point reasonable. The small and compact size of the rangefinder make this perfect for tucking in a bag, or use the body magnet on a golf cart. The quality of this brand of rangefinder is excellent in my opinion.I recommend this rangefinder based on build quality, included accessories, accuracy, compact size, and excellent value. I am happy with this order and it works precisely how I hoped for my use case. Order with confidence. In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.

Not calibrated very well
I have compared this range finder to many others and the accuracy just isn’t there. I would return it but it has been a little over a month so the return time has expired. The slope mode calibration is way off you can be shooting something really up hill and it will only indicate 1 degree uphill.I will be looking for another range finder and would not recommend this brand

Accurate and fast flag lock
The Takenjoy GM7 is one of the best golf rangefinders I've tried. It is extremely accurate and flag pole detection is near instant (less than a second to vibrate). I tested this at the driving range (golf courses aren't open yet) and I got consistent readings every time. I aimed it directly at the distance marker boards and the measurement was always within margin of error. In the case of the 200 yard marker board, it was virtually dead on every attempt. Super impressive!Like most other rangefinders, the GM7 is nice and compact. Plastics feel top notch (rough matte) and there's rubberized grips where it matters. It's hefty and feels solid in the hand. Unlike others that take a non-rechargeable CR2 battery, this one has a LiPo battery inside and can be charged via USB-C. Could be a good or bad thing depending on your take on it but ultimately, I think this allows for longer runtimes for your 18 hole excursions. In use, it's simple to operate and it's easy to switch between yards and meters via the dedicated slope button. I like that it supports slope calculation and it is awesome that you can see both slope compensated distance and angle at the same time. Hold down the red power button engages the flag lock like most rangefinders. The manual is well written and simple to follow. As for the eye piece, I wear glasses and I have no trouble using it and getting a sharp picture. It's like using a monocular and being able to adjust the dioptre is a huge help. Aside from that, I love the (strong) magnetic belt clip it comes with. It is seriously awesome, convenient, and secure! Of course, it's also got the typical carry case, hand strap and metal clip if you want to secure it to your golf bag.Being a beginner that can't estimate distances by eye, this sort of tool is invaluable when I need to judge what sort of club I need. The Takenjoy fills that need perfectly by giving fast and accurate readings. I'll be putting it to use a lot this season.

Broke after 2 months
Rangefinder broke after two months of use. Will no longer take any distance readings despite being fully charged. Extremely frustrating for a $100+ rangefinder to last so little time. Do not buy this.
