A spectacular product
I love it! I’ve had it for over a year now, and I truly recommend it. It’s excellent for continuous use; it doesn’t consume much electricity and cools down an entire room without any issues. It’s perfect for hot weather and includes several modes, such as Dry, Cool, Auto, and Fan Only. The remote control is very comprehensive and works well from a distance, and the filter is very easy to clean. Honestly, it’s very user-friendly and comes at a very affordable price. Plus, the materials are of high quality: after using it for quite some time, I haven’t noticed any signs of wear—it works just like it did on day one. The buttons don’t look worn, and the digital display works at 100%. Without a doubt, it’s a 100/100—I highly recommend it!

Lasted 1 year
I bought the 6,000 unit to cool a room that gets warm from my computer. The unit is very, very small and light for what it is. It sounds just like a hotel room A/C very loud and rattles. Since I wear headphones it doesn't bother me. I really wanted a unit that shuts the fan off when it's not cooling and it does just that. Which Saves energy. It easily cools my smaller room it says it goes to 62 and it's keeping my room around 64. Don't expect this little machine to cool a big room. *Update after 1 year machine stopped blowing cold air. It blows 60F air then when it shuts down with the room temp at 75 thermostat set to 62 it starts to blow 79F air...Was wondering my electric bill was so high. Absolute garbage. Very dissapointed it only lasted a year now I have to pay to get rid of it.

A little fussy, but works well
So two parts to this - installation and operation. Installation is, honestly, a little fussy. Most of this has to do with one's individual windows and how they are designed...storm windows require a slightly different strategy than, say, wooden. The challenge is then how to make sure something like this has enough included hardware to be flexible with the installation. I have to say, there isn't a whole lot of included hardware here. I'd view the in-box items to be an 80% solution, and even at that there's likely a bit of improvisation required. In my case I did have to improvise, such that I even went full-OCD mode and installed an outside support bracket. HOWEVER, there's plenty of insulating tape and such to help smooth over any, shall we say, imperfect installations. Most critically, be sure the unit is tilted slightly down toward the outside, otherwise drainage and such will become a problem. Operation is, really, quite simple. This is the 2024 model so it does overcome certain issues that previous models may have had. Main thing here is to be sure the BTUs are sufficient for the space. This is, really, a rather small (in dimension) unit and it's not going to work well in a largish room. For instance, a typical TV or Living Room is very likely going to be too much for this unit to handle. A simple bedroom (read not a Master Suite) is the ideal space. Good flexibility in operating modes. I generally keep the thing on Eco and let the unit decide when to switch on or off. On very hot days I'll switch out modes to keep it on constantly, but then my body runs hot. Variable fan speeds of course, and choice of cooling or fan only. The remote is, at least in my opinion, delightfully minimalist. There isn't much complexity one can really pack into an air conditioner remote after all. In terms of noise, I mean, it's not obnoxious but then any kind of fan like this is going to make noise. In my opinion it's a non-issue. The fan does not seem to be too big for the unit, so the engineering is really there to make it reasonably quiet. I do like this. I really wish the installation (including the instructions....) was all a bit more intuitive, but then that's very probably a "me problem." But once installed, which is really a one-time-headache, it works well. I like it.

Works well!
Not bad at all! Yes they’re a little noisy but I’ve had louder AC units in the past. These were reliable all summer long. Great purchase.

This thing is loud
This thing is loud. We just bout a 130 yo farm house and have a smaller bedroom with no AC, I read the reviews thinking ok, this shouldn't be to bad... the price was fair and seemed Comparable to others. Weeeell these other folks must me Def cause it sounds like a jet egine firing up.. it will scare the crap outta you if you actually were able to fall asleep. Iike wake the dead loud... Once it runs a bit constantly it does quite down some to a tolerable noise but if set on Auto forget it.. might as well pitch a tent on your local tarmac. It was super easy to install I was able to do it myself. It works as it should, easy to figure out and control. Doesn't get super super cold but keeps the room cool. I purchased a Media brand off the shelf at Walmart in a lack of sleep dazed and sleep deprived state, same basic unit same btu and basic digital control setup for 150 bucks and it's ridiculously quieter and maybe even a tad colder.. I don't hate it enough to return it and get my 200 bucks back but its not staying in my house it will now cool the horse barn bathroom. I apologize in advance to my equine friends.. I dont recommended this for a bedroom unless you loathe the person sleeping in it... sorry Frigidaire

ITS A BEAST
Very happy with updated upgrades. Twice the air flow. Cools well even in 90 degrees with 80 + humidity. ITS A LITTLE (BEAST).

Keeping Chill!
I have always preferred Frigidaire appliances due to the reputation behind the name, and the quality and performance of their products. The last air conditioner I bought was a great deal and I thought "let's take a chance..." I won't be making THAT mistake again! This air conditioner runs quiet, has an energy saver feature and a remote which I didn't think I'd use but it's convenient. It cools a medium sized bedroom nicely and allows me to sleep well even on humid nights. Very reasonably priced and worth it. I expect this will last me a while thankfully.

Very disappointing.
I purchased the Frigidaire 6000 BTU because I recently purchased new windows for my home and the window AC I had in my bedroom would no longer fit forcing me to purchase a smaller unit. The products specification claims it will cool a room up to 250 sq ft. My bedroom is around 200 sq ft and it does not do a good job of cooling. In order to get the room to my preferred sleeping temperature of 70°. I have to turn the AC down to 65 and it runs nonstop. I have to keep my bedroom door completely shut at all times. I do not believe it will be able to keep up at all during the hot muggy days of summer in the south. It is also very noisy. On the plus side, it arrived within a few days of ordering it, was well packaged, and installation was easy. I would not be buying another.
