I have been having trouble isolating my turntable since I bought it a year ago. I have hardwood floors so every step close to the cabinet would make the woofers go nuts, same with the sub...it's all gone now. Super Happy!!!

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. My turntable sits on an equipment rack and my speakers are very close to it. I am constrained by the size of the room and placement of furniture or I would move them farther apart. I have been an audio engineer/producer for over 45 years, so I have good tools and know how to use them. I have made every reasonable effort to make certain that my turntable is level, calibrated and properly set up. Yet, acoustic feedback has continued to be a problem which limits how loud I can play records. The floors are hardwood and when I walk across the room it rattles the speakers and can even make the record skip. I've tried different kinds of feet on the turntable, and attempted multiple strategies to isolate the cabinet from the floor. Some things helped, but nothing was 100% effective, until I got the Auralex Acoustics ISO Turntable Isolation Platform. This solved all my problems and was among the least expensive solutions I tried, as well as being the easiest to employ. It's brilliant in it's simplicity and it really works. I can crank up the bass, play records as loud as I can tolerate, run, dance, or do jumping jacks, and the turntable doesn't rumble, skip or make any unusual sounds. It is effective, unobtrusive and inexpensive. I really love being able to blast my vinyl records again. This puppy rocks, and so do I, to the Stones, Miles Davis, Vladimir Horowitz, and so many others. I am thrilled.

I live near a railroad trestle and rapid transit nearby. Sometimes you could feel the vibrations on the floor but my turntable needle never skips.

I am a very serious audiophile and can tell you that this isolation base is a superb purchase. My turntable is an AMG Viella 12. German made, rigid suspension. 40 pounds of weight with a Clearaudio Da Vinci MC cartridge. There were concerns because of the turntable weight. The Auralex base is very sturdy. Its upper face is made of rigid MDF with thick foam bellow. It supports the turntable very well and the sonic improvements were great. You gain improved clarity, more articulate fast, dry low frequencies, sparkling highs with high speed snap and a wider soundstage. Why? Because you are eliminating unwanted low and mid-low resonances that were masking the overall picture. This will result in more detail, transparency and you will have a live-like music. Let me say that this will work the best on rigid suspension turntables (that are the most on the market). Spring suspensions tables such as Lynn Sondek will do best on a small, light but rigid coffee table. In my Mc Intosh system the highest volume before noticeable feedback used to be 65. Now is 80. This is a lot of improvement. Highly Recommended product. It's a Must!

I give four stars only because I believe that five star ratings are for other worldly quality and results. That being said. It appears as though you get a well made, quality product that's not just a chunk wood or chunk of foam that someone prices through the roof. This platform is multi layered, good looking and assembled straight and well. My sound system positioning is less than "optimal" but we all have spaces to work with to the best of our abilities. Receiver and turntable are on the middle shelf an a set of HPM-100's on the base shelf. This worked well for quite a while. I just picked up a new Audio Technica LP3 which is much more sensitive that the previous entry level TT. Now I started getting lots of low frequency acoustic feedback at half volume which is usually my "jamming it level". Determined the issue and looked around, found this product and ordered one. Fantastic results. No feedback issues at a volume level loud enough that I really didn't even want it to be any louder. Is there something better out there? Maybe. Is there something that works as well cheaper? Maybe. Hence the four stars instead of five. For someone who just wants something that fixes the issue and doesn't mind paying a little bit without a ton of messing around experimenting, this is a wonderful product. Well Done!
