Great midweight rain jacket.
I am so happy with this jacket.I scoured the internet for a jacket to fit my needs: water proof (or at least very water resistant) but not plasticky raincoat fabric; professional/casual; not a shapeless bag; not a puffy parka but more than just a thin raincoat; good for most of an East Coast winter; not three figures in price. This jacket is perfect on all counts. It's water resistant (not totally waterproof I wouldn't think, but I haven't tested it) to a point where I don't feel like I need an umbrella too badly with it. The hood (which zips off) is way big enough to cover your head and then some; my glasses stayed pretty dry in a decent shower. The fabric is nice; you can tell it's water resistant, but it doesn't scream "raincoat" and isn't super noisy. It's not a full on winter coat. It will not keep you warm below freezing without some SERIOUS layering underneath, although if you bought a size up you could probably make it work. But it also doesn't make me sweat like a regular raincoat or big winter jacket.I'm 5'2 135, and the small hits me around mid-thigh. The sleeves are a hair long for me, but that's par for the course and doesn't bother me. I got the black, and it's a pretty true black, not charcoal gray or anything. Love that you can cinch the waist for a slightly more feminine look. I probably could've sized up to the medium, but the small doesn't constrict my movement or anything and I don't tend to layer heavily under it, so I'm happy with the fit of the small and would likely have felt a bit swimmy in the medium. I can easily wear a hoodie under it in the small size, but a hoodie plus a fleece would be too much.I've worn it in weather around 40F with a tank top and flannel shirt underneath, with a hat and scarf, and was quite comfortable. It's probably a coat best suited to temperatures in the 30's-50's, but would suit for quick runs to and from the car in lower temperatures. Below /beyond that, break out your parka. The outside pockets are deep and easily accessible, and the zippers on them are solid. I don't believe there are inside pockets, although I never use them anyway. The main zipper is a two-way, which is nice for sitting on the train during my commute without having it bunch all up, although it does make it just a bit fussy to zip sometimes.Overall, I see why this coat got such good reviews. It's definitely worth the money, and seems like it'll last a good long time. I'm almost tempted to pick up one in another color, too, and may if I catch a super low price.

Great raincoat - more info on sizing
I never write reviews but I wanted to share some more information on sizing because the chart and the comments confused me. I'm 5'6" and 152 pounds. I ultimately chose the Large and it's a perfect fit for layering. The sleeves are a little long (they fall to the middle of my hand) but I don't mind because it's extra protection for the long sleeves underneath. The green is exactly as pictured, and it's such a cheerful color for a gloomy rainy day. Highly recommend!

Very Happy
Love it. The large fits perfectly. (I'm 5'6" 145 pounds, older woman). The sleeves were a little bit long, but that's the norm for me in coats, jackets, etc. The coat is NOT flimsy; material seems pretty nice and heavy, although it will not likely keep you warm in cold temps - it's just a rain jacket, after all. I've only worn it twice now, but so far I have not found the zipper to be cheap or flimsy, just heavy plastic. The color of the jacket (green) is bright, cheerful and true to the picture on my computer monitor. The jacket is fairly plain (nothing fancy, just functional) but the color adds a little zing to its looks, so it's a bit of a fashion statement for an older woman, but doesn't look out of place on one! ! The price was reasonable. I'm happy.

Perfect rain jacket
I've been wearing this jacket in this rainy Pacific Northwest and it has kept me dry every day. Even with a downpour it did a great job. The fit is perfect, it covers the upper thighs and the back which I appreciate with a rain. The waist is adjustable, the sleeves long enough for my long arms. The hood is also adjustable and big enough to protect the face from rain. The zipper works both ways and runs smooth. The material is not thin and protects also from the wind and chill. The style is universal and I can wear it with both pants and skirts. The green colour is vibrant (but not an ugly neon) and attracts lots of compliments!

Gorgeous color & great jacket
Gorgeous Bold Green! Really a true Kelly color. The fabric is nylon but somehow the weight is more substantial than that sounds. With the light gray lining it's got a mid-weight feel and will probably work in many seasons. It was just a little wrinkled when it arrived but I lightly steamed it and it looks prefect. It's a casual cut, nothing fancy, but has an elastic draw cord at the waist you can cinch on both sides and there is a flap over the zipper with snaps. The length is just long enough to cover your seat which is just what I wanted. I think I will really enjoy wearing this whenever it rains and even maybe when it's snowing lightly with a sweater or fleece underneath.

This is a fantastic jacket with the exception of one thing
This is a fantastic jacket with the exception of one thing. The zipper is a huge pain and takes a lot of fiddling with to get it to zip. I’ve tried lubricating it, but the problem is more the alignment of the zipper, and I’m worried that the bottom of the zipper where it connects will not hold up. Luckily, it has snaps for those moments when I’m just headed to work and I give up on the zipper...Other than that, it’s the perfect rain coat. I actually spent ages looking for one in green (that wasn’t army green or taupe) and that is apparently a hard thing to find! The style is perfect, it’s long but not too long, and it’s not shapeless nor too form fitting. Keeps me dry in the rainy Pacific Northwest, and I like that the hood is large enough to actually shield my face from rain, unlike many.

Resembles Fabric
Perfect. It doesn’t feel or look “plastic” at all. Looks like fabric. It is comfortable, and very cute. Wore it in a downpour…the hood worked, nice high neck with easy snaps. Front zipper takes a minute to connect…and kept me dry. Love it even though a bit pricey. I have the green and was pleased it is not too bright, more “yachty” looking.

Runs small
This jacket is very cute, great green color. Unfortunately for me the medium was too snug on me. I was really surprised as I have the shorter style jacket in the same size and it’s actually quite roomy. I would recommend ordering a size up.

LOVE it!
I LOVE this color! Kelly Green is my favorite and hard to find in coats. It fits a little large. I am pretty much always size small in jackets, coats and sweaters and I am pretty sure I could fit into an XS of this, as I have some room still in this, BUUUT... since it has a drawstring waist it actually makes it better, so I kept the size Small so I would have room if I wanted a sweatshirt underneath. So I like that it has the drawstring waist. The hood can be removed if you preferThere is only the two pockets in the front, no hidden or inside pockets. I wish there was a couple more.Overall this coat is great and I would recommend it.
