I have been using this product for some time and it seems to work fine

Taking 300mg ALA a day gave me headaches that woke me up/kept me awake through the night. ALA has many functions. I started this supplement hoping for nerve function renewal but (in my case), the headaches, worsened neurological function and extreme fatigue indicate mercury redistribution. If one suspects they have heavy metal buildups in their body I recommend taking ALA only when WELL HYDRATED (as toxins are excreted by the kidneys in urine) and starting on a dose much lower than 300 mg. Also consider taking the supplement 3 days on 4 days off to give your body time to clear out the toxins "stirred up" by the chelation and to rest from it's internal workout of cleansing.
