Disappointed with the bland taste.
I have used this brand for other dishes, but this was the first time using the Etouffee.It was very bland. Not the spices I am used to from Tony Chachere brand. If you have ever tried Zatarains Etouffee mix, you will not like this brand. Actually, etouffee is almost as easy to make fresh.

Wonderful Etouffee!
This Etouffee base saves time and money! the authentic taste is more prominent when rewarmed, so I suggest making it early and rewarming it before the first meal, or, just enjoy the enhanced authentic Etouffee flavor the second, or more, time you serve a batch!

So good, so easy
The result is astonishingly good and so easy. It is very rich in taste and mouth-feel. Unless you are an expert in making roux, this is the way to go. I tried it with frozen crawfish tails and shrimp - both delicious.

Can't find in the northeast!
I lived in Louisiana for several years and love the ease of Tony Cachere's mixes. I live in the northeast now and no stores carry these. BOO! So Amazon did it again - good price and exactly the same product. BOO YA!

As good as my Friend's Etouffee
Easy and quick to make. Tastes as good as my friend's etouffee and it's good. We like it with rice and shrimp.

Too much money but good taste
Over priced but available when most stores are out of stock.

Quick, easy meal. Add shrimp and andouille sausage or chicken and andouille assuage.
We like it. I always add extra celery, bell peppers, and onions to my mix.
