Each one required some level of repair and re-engineering new out of the box. with that caveat, they are very good for the price. I strongly suggest users to purchase a 6' x 2 ' x 1/2" plywood board for the couch side of the futon. Just slide it under the mattress on top of the frame. otherwise you will feel the bars your buttox is sitting on and it not comfortable.
