I have the toaster oven, the digital pressure cooker, and now the 3 in 1 Ninja Foodi Gril, so will not this unless need to saute seasonings Spanish Cuban tomato sauce base or can of beans for it, cuz the microwave is not so great or really work or the same & a bit of a pain & process. This is much faster. The plastic round microwave cooker is too thin for the weight when go take it out & a pot is much better to do that when cant cook dry beans. I wish I could get more use out of this, but since I have all those other devices for recipes I don't need it as much. If ever there is a recipe that I find on YouTube or my search that I can't cook on those devices then I will have this here already & not have to wait to get one to make the food. The conversion just doesn't happen that way. If you have a non-magnetic pot/pan to use on an induction surface, the whole plate will heat up as expected, but only within the power limits of that cooktop. Best for low to medium heat foods. This is especially true for the lower wattage 110v countertop induction units. This item will not convey enough heat to a pan for a heavy simmer, let alone a boil with such countertop units - and is best used as a buffet/table keep-hot type device. You're best is to get the proper pan to begin with for actual cooking. Not recommended for these lower watt units.
