While the artwork is good, the book falls apart, pages are falling out.

.....as easily dismantled as this book has become, well, technically this book wouldn't exist at all! i am roughly 70% thru' the book, and whilst enjoying the contents immensely, the actual book is falling to pieces! the outer cover is completely detached, the rubbery (glue?) inside spine is beginning to separate from the bound pages. i confidently predict that by the end of the book i will be holding loose pages! this is not a cheap item (note - it was gifted to me and purchased from a reputable amazon seller), but it is cheaply constructed, being far too heavy for the type of binding employed. i like to keep books in pristine condition, but no amount of careful handling could stem the deconstruction.i am an advocate of reviewing the artistic content of items, rather than the physical form of the product, but when it affects the process like this, it can only be a distraction and a nuisance! which is a great pity, as the artistic content is highly enjoyable, well scripted, well drawn, and a lot of fun, in the spirit of the franchise. we have a run through of the movie, followed by a series of connected tales concerned with ash's eternal battle with the necronomicon, which range from the amusing to the ridiculous (in a good way). good enough to consider the further two volumes. unfortunately i would have to purchase in an establishment where i could check the binding before buying!so, with the issues that Ashy Slashy is currently having with the necronomicon, he would perhaps appreciate a book that would just fall apart. me?less so!
