For its current price, I think it is worth the higher price. To be honest, I have purchased other models of portable range hoods before. The price was much higher, around 150 US dollars. The wind power was unstable during use and the filtration effect was average, so I decisively chose to return it. In comparison, my current range hood is more worth buying.With strong suction power, this range hood has 3 suction modes. You can choose the appropriate wind speed according to our needs, which can fully meet the needs of our daily life.The filtration effect is so good that every time the house was filled with cooking fumes, the headache-inducing smoke alarm would sound. Now I turn it on every time I cook. The filtration effect is really good. It can absorb most of the cooking fumes and the room is no longer filled with smoke.Easy to clean and store. This portable range hood is easy to disassemble, just take out the filter cotton from the head and clean it, and it can be used multiple times.All in all, I highly recommend this range hood. I'm going camping with my friends in a few days, and I plan to take it with me, haha

Waste of money
From day 1, the exhaust “power” of this fan was minimal. But it stopped all together less than a month after delivery. Any time I have used it, right next to the stove, mind you, the entire house fills with smoke. Absolute waste of money.

This potable range hood for cooking is great
The media could not be loaded. When I cood, I can use it to suck the cooking fumes into the filter and blow fresh air into the room. I live in a small apartment and the air circulation in my home is usually not smooth. With this portable range hopod, I can also use it to filter odors and particles in the air.It is easy to sue and disassemble for cleaning, and takes up little space to store. There are 3 wind power levels, you can adjust the wind power according to your needs. During use, the noise generated is also relatively small, allowing us to enjoy our food quietly. Highly recommended!

It's ok
You practically have to have this item right on top of the food your cooking. I'm still assessing how good it is. I don't have a hood vent and the steam has discolored my ceiling so I figured I'd try this. It does suck in the steam and it expresses it out toward the back. Maybe if this had a filter in the back it may be better. I think that instead of staining my ceiling with this machine the steam will filter through to my cabinets, where I have it hanging over the stove. We'll see.

Not particularly effective - UPDATE
No..... not happy with it. For a product pushing 50 bucks, I expected more. It's onlygot one thin, charcoal pad to do the filtering (which catches perhaps 20 - 25% of thesmoke, max), it's terribly unsteady on it's tri-pod feet, and it is frankly a pain in the buttto use.I don't know if any machine of this nature is more effective depending on price point,but I know this one's a waste of money and space....Take a pass on it.UPDATE - The seller read my review and contacted me to apologize and offer a full refund. While this doesn't change my experience with the product, it does tell me that they genuinely care about customer satisfaction. I notice that they have also lowered the price from what I paid.... As there are reviews here that are very positive about the product, perhaps you might be pleased with it - particularly at this lower price point? They are now in line with similar devices price wise. While it didn't work for our needs, the positive reviews would seem to indicate it does just fine for some folks.
