Very light and strong, best price/quality ratio, highly recommended
This surf rod has the best price / quality ratio. From this rod there are better on the market, for sure, but far, far more expensive. The extraordinary action allows, in combination with some long casting reels, a very far and sure throw of the lure. It is very light, so the hand tire far slower than with other rods. I personally do not like 70-30 split, I'd be a lot happier with the 50-50 split, but you can't have all.

Nice feeling rod!
The rod feels really nice in hand. Haven't got to use yet, big trip in 2 weeks, it will get its workout then.

Great rod for the Cape Cod Canal.
Great rod. I bought it for jigging 4+oz jigs on the Cape Cod canal and it's done a fine job so far. It's also great for topwater poppers and such. And, surprisingly for a rod rated 3-8oz, I'm able to throw lighter 1.5oz lures like Daiwa SP Minnows with it as well.This rod came highly recommended by many anglers on the Canal, and I'm very happy with it so far.

Amazing rod light and sensitive but strong as well

Not strong enough
The rod description says it is 2-6 oz, however, It broke after using it few times with a 4.5 oz.It cost me almost an additional $100 to get it repaired ($50 + round-trip Shipments).Now, I will use it only for 3oz or less on top lures only. I cannot take a risk and use it on jigging, since big fish in the bottom will apply a heavy pressure on it and may break again.
