In my recent review of a serum from Skin Regimen, I mentioned that it wasn't until I tried out a kit from OxygenCeuticals containing a toner, serum, and cream that I realized serum needs to be applied as part of a three step process in-between applications of toner and cream. After having used post-shave creams for many years, and only just recently introducing toner as a first step, I actually didn't initially know how to use a serum. After trying several different serum products, I've come to the conclusion that Averr Aglow Forever Radiant Essential Renewing Serum is the only serum that consistently works for me, regardless of the toner and cream permutations with which I've tried it. This French serum from Ustawi is much, much better than average, but after using it for the last few weeks doesn't reach the effectiveness of a five-star serum like Averr Aglow for me. For what it's worth, the 30ml volume of this serum is equivalent to 1oz, and at the current price of $45 is quite steep.

Okay, I have to admit that when I ordered this, I somehow missed that this serum is formulated for melanin rich skin. That's not me. Because my skin is so light, I actually was reluctant to use this and did a patch test before use. That went well and proceeded to use on my face. Did so on a day when I could stay home just in case I ended up looking like I had a bad makeup job. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised. My face ended up looking great.Based on how this worked on me, it did not tint my skin at all. What it did do was provide me with extra hydration and moisturization. More so than most other serums. My skin color did look very even and a little brighter. Even healthier with a glow. Made my skin more supple and elastic and softened fine lines.The biggest difference with this serum compared to most others is that I find that it will make the skin look and feel more moisturized. Having combination skin, this is best for me to use on my drier days. Though the skin ends up with a lot more moisturization, it's not oily or greasy. Maybe a tiny bit damp looking at times, but that was mostly along my nose which still is sometimes too oily. The rest of my face looked great.Though this can easily be used by all skin colors, I can understand why this is formulated for darker skin tones that sometimes need the extra moisturization. With that said, I would highly recommend this serum to those with any skin color who need the extra hydration. Especially good for those with drier skin, as well as those with mature skin. Very clean and should be safe for those with sensitive skin.

This product is ok, I didn’t find it to be anything special and I certainly wouldn’t pay 45.00 for a tiny one ounce tube. This is mainly vitamin C and licorice extract which I already add to my favorite face cream in the form of extracts. This is a small tube with a fussy pump dispenser that works on and off. The product has no noticeable fragrance, it’s a watery brownish liquid, it gets absorbed quickly and didn’t leave my skin greasy or irritated. I like it but there are others out there I like better and far less expensive, I particularly love Korean skin care products. This one is just ok.
