Freedom Is A Constant Struggle

Insightful and important reading
Freedom Is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine, and the Foundations of a Movement is an extremely insightful book into how movements are formed globally and how we need to move away from individualism to create global movements. That we cannot and should not focus on just our own struggles, but that to create change, we must understand that people will never be free until everyone is free — and that there’s a fundamental need to make people understand that what may be happening in another part of the world can, and maybe already is, connected to us as well. This works as a great starting point for anyone who is new to nonfiction and specifically nonfiction on activism, movements and ongoing political issues since it’s a collection of interviews and essays that provide a great foundational understanding — there’s not only an index full of relevant references that you can seek out further information on, but Angela Davies also provides activists and works within the book to explore further.

Probably one of the best books to read + Shipped and Packaged Very Well
UPDATE: WISDOM-MART is a company that ships their products very well and keeps it sustainable for the buyer to see and view their product. Although they tend to ship from Britain (which require longer times for parcel arrival), the condition of the book still remains top-notch and they ensure the best for the package to be very well. To conclude, I am 100% satisfied with my order. With a book being as short as this, but with the magnificient teachings of Angela's experience of freedom and her use of feminist theory and intersectionality towards the issues of G4S security using privatized security in the realms of the health and education sector, the Palestinian prosion system, and so forth, the current US prison system and its formation of slaverys toward marginalized prisoners, and so forth, this book serves many wonders. And for me having experience in the security industry and finding out about the corruption of G4S Security and its corrupt workings, this shocked me as much more as anything else. This book also serves a purpose to understand that the struggle for freedom in a society that still implements slavery in a covert manner and removing the rights of others in other aspects still plays a bigger issue in the idea of all as equal, and acknwoledging the acceptance of others, especially within marginalized groups (ex. poor and working Black women, Black Queers, and Black trans peoples).

Buzzing
Angela Davis had my synapses buzzing from the start. So many answers and joining of the dots. what's happening now with the BLM movement wrt George Floyd and talks of defunding the police would not have happened without the movement growing from other racist murders by the police. What is happening now is a continuation of the struggles she speaks about both in the US and Palestine. Globally in fact. Everything is clearer now
