Good external SSD backup storage option with military-grade drop protection, one-touch backup, and it comes with USB 3.1/Type-C connectivity cables. Considering the price, it is very competitive choice. Like other popular brands, it is fast, pocket size, and support the latest USB-C with fast read/write speed. I tried it with Android and Windows devices. Both work as plug-n-play device without any manual driver update or format required.

This "Transcend TS4TESD380C 4TB USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 USB Type-C ESD380C" SSD drive is SO FAST I CAN BACK UP A TERABYTE AN HOUR. This is MORE THAN TEN TIMES FASTER than what I used to do with my old USB3.1 external hard drive. It WAS taking me twelve (12) hours to do an image backup so I would have to start the backup then come back the next day. Now I am done in the time it takes for my lunch break. This Four (4) Terabyte Solid-State Drive (SSD) has NO MOVING PARTS and is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket and although it comes complete with a full set of USB cables, I opted to buy a 90-degree, six-inch, USB C Right Angle Cable, so the drive fits neatly on my desk. Excellent drive, fast data transfer and solid performance so far. Very convenient size and the dual cables for USB transfer is quite helpful.

I am holding off on my opinion a bit because i have only used two of these to transfer video files. There were issues with another brand so it was suggested to use these, I bought two 1T drives and 12T drive. The first drive experienced a slowdown during the transfer of a large file, so it worried me a bit. The second drive gave me no issues. At first blush, the specs. And robust build makes this seem perfect for my application. I will revisit this review after a few more experiences.

Literally plug and play. Very fast for Time Machine backup of Mac desktop and notebook.

I was very pleased with the simplicity for installation and use. My Window 11 on multiple machines has had no problems with recognizing the drive or transferring data. Very pleased.

An absolute POS!!! DO NOT BUY THIS DRIVE!!!!!!! It constantly just ejects itself as im editing. No warning, not even hot. Just disconnects. Of course it didn't start doing this until after the return. For Amazon ended. Anyway, stay away from this crappy product

I'll start with the negatives. Like my other Transcend SSD portable drive it gets warm to the touch when operating. Not uncomfortably so but enough to notice. I also have not yet been able to reach the transfer rates shown. Other than that it is identical to my previous portable drive, but with an outer shell that probably absorbs some heat. It is small, lightweight and fits neatly into most places and pockets. You can buy cheaper portable drives but I have not had a Transcend fail yet so you pay your money and take your choice. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to either have a back-up or a handy, take anywhere, portable drive.

Habe mir vor acht Monaten diese externe SSD gekauft und nutze sie regelmäßig. Habe darauf ein Betriebssystem installiert, was naturgemäß viele Festplattenzugriffe tätigt. Es läuft sehr schnell und stabil. Kurz: sehr zu empfehlende SSD, die ihr Geld wert ist.
