I brought this to replace a neos smart cam after they ceased working in the UK last year.The sensitivity of the motion and person detection is great, as is the picture quality both day and night.The magnetic attachment is the same as the neos cam.The way the neck of the camera pivots and twists makes it really easy to direct the camera exactly where you want it.You can choose to save the video files into the cloud (with a paid account) or to an sd card in the device itself (not supplied).The app works very well for live feed or playback of the files.I would definitely recommend this. It does a great job.

So far this camera has meet my needs/ expectations perfectly. So much as just bought a second one.Set up is easy for someone with basic know how, instructions are clear and work.I bought this as have a rat/ rats in my loft and cavity walls. And could hear them most nights, yet my baited cages and glue boards remained empty. I didn’t want to buy a big cctv system as I’ve had one before which eventually failed and don’t see the point in spending hundreds just to confirm I have rats in my loft and see what they’re upto. After 48hours this camera has shown me where it came in and what it’s doing, also know where to move the cage to. I have a 64g Samsung micro sd card. Set to permanently record using about 6g for 24hours.Using the pan/tilt allows for precise adjustment for area to be recorded.I am able to view live and recorded video via the tapo app on both iPad and android phone, either connected to Wi-fi or 4g when away from home.I didn’t receive a movement notification when rat appeared however I had customised notification times and this fell outside of timesBut a rat is fairly small, it did pick my kids up when and notify me when tested in the house. I have now set notifications to always so it may work now. Not a problem if it doesn’t as you can scroll through playback to any point and then watch at 2x, 4x,8x even 16x speed. Even slow motion 1/2 1/4 1/8 &1/16.All in all a very good camera for its money. Once you have it in position you don’t need to go near it again.I did briefly use the 2 way talk, and siren which works, talk had a minimal delay but this is not the reason for purchase so not an issue.I don’t think telling the rats to **** off is going to be effective.If your looking for a camera to use as a indoor/dry area monitor with fairly good picture quality, this is it.The sound from recording and talk didn’t seem amazing however I briefly used it, but would say it’s on par with a baby monitor. All be it this is so much cheaper.I’ve only had this for 48hrs. Not sure of how long this will last but seems well made. Enough for me to buy another.Also worth noting the app can have 32 cameras paired to it, to scroll through like a proper cctv kitCame with 3 pin mains plug about 3m length

Easy to set up. I love the versatile mounting options.Video quality is amazing (clear + crisp) for the price (both day video and night using IR).Smart AI comes in handy for detecting pet barks/meows.Lets you record locally to MicroSD upon detection of different activities: General motion / AI person detection / AI dog bark detection / AI cat meow detection / etc.You can also record to their cloud service, but I ain't paying for that, especially when I'm already paying for my own cloud services/VPS/etc that I have no option of using.The app is nice and supports some limited automations with these cameras. You can have it send activity detection notifications to your phone but for some reason they've reserved the 'preview thumbnail' feature that you'd expect with the notification to users of their cloud services.RTSP stream's are also supported if you want to use your own NVR, though you may wish to go easy on multiple camera 24/7 wireless recording ambitions... you know, since it can tax your wireless network and slow down direct access from your phone on-the-go.My biggest concern with this camera is the audio quality. It's quite poor. Neither the speaker nor microphone audio sound great. I can overlook the former but the latter is an issue, as I can't make out a single word of a conversation recorded or via live feed... not unless they speak loudly and clearly or simply a few speak directly into it from a few inches away.I think this may be a brand-wide issue, though perhaps newer models are/will be rectified...?All in all, it's good value for money if you're mostly concerned about clear video (with good night IR) on a budget.
