Too early to say if there is a difference in the quality but the product looks just like the original wire. Plugs in and powers on seemlessly.

These cords are extremely fragile and are very sensitive to and movement or change of temperature. Ours lasted 4 months. I am not sure any other brand is better or worse but if if you have a frame TV that is still returnable, return it now. They are poorly designed.
