Borderline, Vol. 1

This is everything I ever wanted out of a cyberpunk comic, and more. Beautiful artwork, superb action, kickass characters and a cool plot. Did I mention the artwork? If you like Ghost in the Shell you'll love this, hell if you like good graphic novels you will love this.

The two stars is for Risso's art. The series reads like it was written as a series of vignette short stories- some work some don't but for a while it flows pretty well with each short being contained but building on each other . The problem is Trillo has no idea how to end the series and everything falls apart in volume 4 with a really unsatisfactory ending. Some of Trillos work is amazing but quite often I find him also disappointing - this sadly is one of those disappointments.

Trillo and Risso are a dynamic duo. Can't wait for the next two volumes to be made available. Fantastic style, unique story. Borderline is a quintessential graphic novel.
