We bought 4 of these for all the boys for Christmas. Each of them used different control options and loved them. The cars do have a little trouble with true off road running, but they are better than expected for the price.

I have to admit, I'm a little bit of a purist when it comes the RC Cars, so when I broke out the wrist remote, it just wasn't for me. I was ready to put up a review of 4 stars after driving it with the regular remote. The car has mediocre power. The ability to skid turn or drive sideways is kind of cool, but I like a little bit more predictable control. I gave the wrist remote to my wife and let her try it, she loved it! She's not a big fan of traditional remotes and she got the hang of the write remote real quick... Ok, gave it to my toddler, when I give him a traditional remote, its one action -- usually the forward button -- until we hit something, but with this, well he still didn't show a ton of control but he was way more entertained because the car was doing more than going straight. So 5 stars... I wouldn't say go get this if you're already pretty into RC cars, but if you're looking for something entertaining to someone getting into it the option of a traditional remote, or the gesture remote seems like a good choice for trying to draw someone in.

The lights on front look like eyes and are good and bright we have been playing with it and having a great time. Very cold, but when it's warm Mimi can use the remote from lawn chair and grandson has been very excited for it to get warmer. It's been only 19° with a windchill that brings it down to a very cold day and neg. at night. The tires light up and we play in the house right now, but it's made to bend up and back down and forward/back and slow or fast speed. We've run it into the walls a few times cause Mimi (me) and the kiddo are both pretty clutzy but this thing is made for it and is still going strong. We love it. Good price for a good product especially the cool light features. 💯 👍
