Well written book with lots of pictures.

Considering the significance of the character in this area of history I expected a lot more detail. Almost feels like a collection of articles pulled together from different sources bundled together.Given the standards I have come to expect even the printing felt basic as if done on the cheap.So much promise on someone of historical interested within the study of the last war but as I say a missed opportunity which is a shame.

Short written history followed by a large selection of great photos and documentation.

Otto Baum commanded several of the famous ss division, and this book about his military career certainly did him justice. A clear narrative describes his actions during the war while many photos, (many unpublished) are great to examine. So many photos were taken of Baum !A short appendix includes maps, documents and some figures about his commands.Highly recommended if you are interested in higher ranking personalities.

Good short book on a very effective field commander. Fast reading.
