Great replacement for one that gave up. Easy to program and works well.

Easy to fit to replace existing programmer.Would have been nice for the deliverer to ring the bell or knock on the door. Was not left in the letterbox, just leant up against the front door. Only found when taking rubbish out to the dustbin.Left in full sight from the street and could easily have been stolen!!!

Had it professionally installed and yes does the job and easy to operate .

Purchased this as a replacement for our previous 16 year old programmer that decided to stop working properly.It is a left hand side back plate, which sits perfectly over the existing switch. Easy to install, set up and use.The back light on the programmer lights up the controls well, making things easy to read.

I needed to replace my Drayton manual programmer as two of the flimsy plastic tappets broke off. My partner was all for calling out a tradesman but I had secretly read up about the standardised back plate and told her that I would replace it myself. When it came I disappeared into the airing cupboard armed with a screwdriver, watched cynically by my overlord, and emerged about 10 minutes later announcing that the job was done. Many brownie points won! Good quality item, far better than the manual one.Update: this review was for an earlier model without LCD display. No issues in 5 years.

I usually go for Honeywell but considering the price difference I thought I'd try this Drayton out and very glad that I did. It's just as good as the Honeywell being easy to fit and very easy to operate. I try to source UK made products and happy to say this is one of them. As an installer I will now be recommending Drayton to all customers.

It's a basic two channel timer that can also be used to control an old gravity back boiler system. So a good replacement option if you have one of those obsolete Honeywell ST699 timers that go for £300 on eBay!Ideally the screen could be larger for the old folk, but this model and design hasn't changed much in many years, and I suppose it's good that it uses a more standard backplate for the diy'er.
