This is a great hot sauce that just has cayenne peppers, vinegar and salt. Shipped fast and packaged well.

Used to eat all the atomic wings you could put in front of me....nowadays, I can barely handle pepper. This sauce is so awesome cause you get all that great hot flavor but it doesn't stick around to make you regret it! All the hot taste and none of the painful regret!

I became aware of Crystal Hot Sauce while living in S La., and it became (and remains) a staple on my table more than 40 years later. I use it along w/ Tabasco brand pepper sauce, because they are slightly different : Crystal is thicker and has more cayenne peppers than vinegar, Tabasco is thinner and has more vinegar than red pepper. Crystal's sodium content is 110 mg per teaspoon (5 ml) serving, Tabasco 35 mg, putting both sauces in the "low sodium" category. Both sauces contain only 3 ingredients (vinegar, cayenne/red pepper, salt) and NO xanthum or guar gum. On a recent visit to New Orleans, I noticed that in every restaurant I visited, these were the two sauces on tables, and in most cases the only two sauces on the table.
