When the machine got here, Mirrors were way out of line After aligning mirrors, the machine still will not reliably cut 3mm plywood. Still working on trying to get this to cut even remotely well. I suspect the air assist is not strong enough. I have a 40 watt diode machine that will out perform this all day long. Save your money. I chose 1 star as I can't choose a negative number. *Update* After rewiring the high voltage wire that connects to the laser tube and remounting it to prevent it from arcing, then adding a air pump capable of providing enough air to actually cut material. The machine is now much more reliable and will cut 3mm plywood without any issues.

I went from an XTool diode to this and I love it. Wish I had the space for a larger OMTech but this works great in my craft room. Cuts like a dream and excellent customer service. Highly recommend.

I’ve ordered 3 different omtech lasers now and none of them have worked. I previously had the gweike cloud but had a fire (my stupidity) so decided to try and try the polar lite. The engraving looked awful from the start but I didn’t get to mess around long because all the sudden the laser power supply quick working. Omtech sent me a new one (had to wait 2 weeks to get it) but I still couldn’t get it working. Omtechs quality control is non existent. I ended up buying another gweike and it works so much better

My Polar Lite Laser has been defective from day one. The arm that holds the lid up fell off in the first few minutes. The Power indicator has never worked. And the auto focus does not work. They have been trying to get me to do the repairs, and I was willing to try to help, but they are getting too complicated. I have gone well above and beyond what a customer should have to do to fix what should have been a NEW, perfect machine, and now a month and a half has gone by without any legitimate solutions; OmTech has stopped responding to my email request to swap this defective laser with a fully tested, properly working new one. I am getting very frustrated. Bad quality control, not functioning correctly, and now the customer service has stopped.

Best of both worlds! A CO2 cutter with built in components. It is not a plug and play, you have to be able to work on the machine if you have a problem. But Omtech support has always been awesome if I have any issues or questions!
