Enjoyable And Entertaining!!
Oscar saves the day again!! In this entertaining continuation of Dan and Oscar's adventures they are in Pisa to provide security for a group of very high rollers who are to be part of a top secret business venture. As usual all are not as they seem, secrets and hidden agendas abound. Added into the mix is that Dan's girlfriend Anna has a daughter who is part of the contingent. Dan has never met her and she is also adverse to meeting him. When her boss is found murdered Virginia is eventually arrested with what seems an air tight case. Naturally Dan steps in to try and help find the real killer. It certainly isn't going to be easy with the current Inspector on the case a most unlikable person. He even resorts to arresting Dan! Enjoyable as all of the previous books in this series with interesting finely drawn characters, Dan with Oscar by his side really have their work cut out. Finally putting a fine tuned plan into action to draw out the real culprit, there are some very intense moments causing a lot of drama. But Oscar being the amazing dog he is comes to the rescue. A very good read with vivid descriptions of the countryside, delicious food and of course a first rate mystery. I am looking forward to the next book!Kudos to the author! 🎉👏📚

Enjoyable but not one of his best
The way this mystery was finally solved made me wonder if the author started the story and then found he didn't know how to end it. I'll probably try the next one in the series, but it may be the series has exhausted its potential.

Another great read!
Six wonderful books by this author. Well developed plot, interesting characters, and the beloved dog Oscar. As dyed in the wool dog lovers, we relish how Williams weaves his antics into the adventure. We love the Italian settings.

quite a pair
Armstrong and Oscar continue to entertain, while sharing a bit of Italian history. While reading, I googled recipes for several foods mentioned, and wished I had some warm sunshine and a bottle of hearty red wine.

Such a great series!
Great writer and such an enjoyable lead character. Written in the first person, what fun to follow Dan and Oscar around while soaking up Tuscany. Super interesting story lines and characters. Real page turners.

I just love this series
Each book in this series transports me from my life in the US to a place in Italy. Although I have been to many places in Italy, these books give me more info than I've obtained as a tourist. I often use many of this authors books to plan my overseas trips. This current book describes in detail the setting at a Villa I would never have the opportunity to see. The characters were diverse and the mystery was delicious!

the Dog and his Person are a treat
Yes, a person-loving, very charming Dog really adds to this well spun story. And the wonderful descriptions of countryside and settings makes the book well worth reading. The whole series has been a very enjoyable experience, and a very welcome alternative to watching or reading about actual current events here in the US.Thank you TA Williams!

Another entertaining mystery! Didn’t put it down until finished!
I enjoyed the story very much and the inclusion of Anna’s daughter was a great bonus although a little more followup about them afterwards would have added a bit more satisfaction. I liked how the Pisa police characters were treated (especially in the end) but I did miss the regular crew in Florence although they did play a small part.

As a lover of everything and everywhere Italian, and Labradors, combined with a pleasant and interesting storyline ..with the odd touch of tension.. these books have given me a lot of pleasurable reading..

Consistent
I like the books by TA Williams. The setting is great and stories entertaining. I find the repeated references to the black Labrador and his greediness a bit wearing as this is a constant theme in ALL of his books
