Am I missing something? At $26.50 for 10 {5oz) boxes is @2.65 a box. But all stores sell them for $1.25 for a 5 oz box.

I paid $10.78 for a pack of 10 in Sept., now they are up to $36. That's $3.60 per box, which like others have pointed out, cost $1.50 in a store. Needless to say, I won't be buying any until the price drops to $15.

Do these come in a display box?

not a display box, but like the box you would see in the store...open top, where you can just reach in and grab a roll. since the top is open with no lid, the whole thing comes wrapped in plastic.

Is there any way to know the "Best By" date before purchasing? Feb2024 had some bad batches.

Each seller will have a different date on them some of mine are 5/23 or 1/24

I don't know if they even have an expiration date. I have ordered twice and they were fine. My opinion with hard candy is that it stays good practically forever.
