Quality construction after 4 months of use
My son loves it and uses it daily. Seems durable for a kid whose hard on his stuff and the olive color hides a lot of dirt.

Does what a bookbag does
I just retired my first original north face book bag (I’ve had it since high school I’m now 35) and this looks Great fits everything I need in it for my nursing job and the laptop compartment is cool . Pricey , but it’s Northface

Lightweight backpack but not enough structure for me to enjoy it.
I picked up this backpack for $35 hoping for a compact, everyday carry solution, but it prioritizes style over substance. Here’s how it stacks up:1. PriceAt $35, the value proposition is attractive—especially if you only need minimal carry capacity.2. Structure & StabilityNo internal reinforcement: the bag collapses when empty and won’t stand upright on its own, unlike sturdier packs (e.g., the LTT backpack).Ultra-light construction: keeps overall weight down but sacrifices shape retention and stability.3. Storage & AccessibilityMain compartment: easily fits a small laptop and a notebook.Front pocket: useful for chargers, pens, or a phone—but under any moderate load it gapes open when unzipped, causing its contents to spill out immediately.4. UsabilityEveryday frustration: you must hold the pocket open with one hand to prevent an avalanche of items.Bottom LineIf you need a lightweight pack for a small laptop plus a couple of flat items—and you don’t mind constantly supporting the front pocket—this will do. But for anyone accustomed to a structured, self-standing backpack, it’s not a suitable replacement.

Fell Apart Quickly-Very Common Problem
The rip cord on the front of the backpack came apart within 30 days of using it. It is internally attached, so you can't re-attach it without putting a hole in the backpack. A quick internet search shows this is a common problem with this backpack. I called The North Face and for a warranty claim it will be up to 8 weeks and I have to pay to ship it there. For the mark-up The North Face charges, these backpacks should be much better constructed or they should offer better alternatives for replacing it. I've had much better backpacks at much less cost.

Laptop sleeve is NOT 11" wide.
The backpack is great, looks great, feels sturdy. Love that. Do not love the fact that it is advertised as a 12.75" height x 11" wide laptop sleeve. It is NOT that wide. It is only 10" wide and you cannot fit a 10" wide laptop in here. They need to correct the listing.

Great product but not the best for school
I love the backpack! It’s made from good materials and is comfortable to wear. It is just a little small if you need to carry a lot of books for school like I do. Other than that its great!
