The captioning appears pretty quickly, approx 3 secs. It has answering machine capabilities that also has the captioning. It has only been installed about a week. We will have to see if my father will now start answering the phone. I would recommend this phone to others. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Restores communication *by A***R on March 7, 2023* My mom’s hearing had gotten to the point phone calls were near impossible. She was not confident she could understand doctors, service providers and family. This phone has restored her independence in communication. It was easy to connect to her home Wi-Fi. A pleasant surprise was the higher volume on the handset was clear and loud enough for her to hear. Other amplified phones had not helped. The phone offers two transcription options. We chose the automated as opposed to the operator assisted. Large characters and clear display fill in words she misses. There is a slight delay on the transcript and a few inaccurate words. The ring volume a visual indication gets her attention. The built in answering machine is easy to use and also transcribes messages. On outgoing calls she now knows if the phone is ringing as opposed to a busy signal.I was doubtful anything would.
