Anyone not particularly proficient in all things 'craft' will love this book as the ideas aren't too advanced, but are simple, easy to follow and lovely to look at.If you're looking for a book for anyone suffering from depression or low mood who needs a hobby to get them over a bad patch, this may be something you can give to them to give them something to focus on, which is what I did. My friend is now keenly reading the book and we are going shopping tomorrow to buy some fabrics, threads and needles, so it's a 5* purchase for me!It's also very well illustrated which always 'makes' a book for me, so all in all, highly recommended.

There's no need for me to write a review of this superb book as I agree wholeheartedly with all the other 5 star reviews; so much so, in fact that I have ordered a used copy of Caroline Zoob's other book 'Childhood Treasures'. 'The Hand-Stitched Home' is not just a beautiful book, it's full of useful, easily achievable, projects which are also beautiful. There's something for everyone in this book. Do treat yourself - you won't regret it! A word of advice - don't lend it to anyone as you probably won't get it back!

Caroline Zoob's second book and well worth the wait. It is delightful. Lovely ideas for the home. I was very lucky to get hold of a box of her vintage treasures when she was having a clear out - bits of old fabric,ribbons, buttons, threads and lace. Now is the time to use them with the help of this book. If you haven't got her first book Childhood Treasures try to get hold of it as it will inspire you as well.

I think this is a lovely book for someone who is only interested in embroidery. My fault, but I had assumed there may be more projects than just hand embroidery, so I will not get as much from this book as I had hoped. However, for anyone who loves hand embroidery, this is a must.

This wonderful book is beautifully photographed and written. Both Caroline Zoob and Arber have excelled at their craft and put together the most inspirational and exceptional book. It is a constant pleasure to read page after page you just don't want it to end! The directions and illustrations are precise giving even the beginner the ability to create something special. I look forward the sequel!

This book is full of great ideas and templates too.A real inspiration, and just wonderful as a simple 'read'.I borrowed it from my local library initially but then knew I just had to have my own copy, rather than keep renewing it every few weeks!
