I tried to clean my jewelry with a toothbrush and toothpaste. It worked well, but not well enough. Enter the ultrasonic jewelry cleaner, and problem solved! My diamonds sparkle like, well, diamonds!

The media could not be loaded. We cleaned some gold, platinum rings and bracelets with it.You can see the difference between before and after clean. Certainly works and will recommend it.

This does a pretty good job of shining up jewelry. The jewelry I wear often (my wedding set) came out nice and sparkly. I cleaned a couple other pieces—a silver ring and a silver chain—that were tarnished. They came out better but not completely tarnish-free.It’s easy to use. The tank is good size. It’s pretty quiet.I think it’s too pricey for what it does (at $74).

While I do tend to at least wipe things down after I use them, I never knew just how much dirt got into all those places that a cleaning cloth will not reach. Within a second of being dunked into the ultrasonic cleaner every small item I've cleaned like jewelry and glasses, released a puff of brown gunk into the water. After playing around with the settings and putting the items through multiple times I ended up with a satisfyingly clean pair of glasses.While I did have to take out the basket to make my glasses fit, the fact that it's big enough to fit glasses at all greatly increases its usability. I am beyond impressed with this ultrasonic cleaner. It's large enough to hold my glasses and wow does it get them clean. I've always had trouble getting the rims edges clean and now that I have bifocals the little ledge where the lenses switch from one type to the other has been just a grime collector. Normally I clean my glasses with glasses cleaning spray and microfiber cloths but being able to clean the nooks and crannies has always been sadly out of reach.I filled the container with water, plopped my glasses into the basket, and set the timer for 300 seconds. I could see the grime coming out of the space around the rims of my glasses. Both gross and satisfying LOL.I also took the opportunity to clean a pair of my daughter's glasses and it did an equally good job with hers.It's definitely earned the space it takes up in my bedroom closet.
