I got these for a Sunday school lesson. We used paint to decorate them. They were great and the children loved having a big shield and sword of their own.

Used these for a children’s Sunday school lesson, the kids loved decorating their shields and swords! Great product, very durable

I ordered the set thinking that the children would be able to decorate their own shield a sword to do pretend play, but the material was far too flimsy.

Purchased these thinking it was cardboard as stated in the description and that they would be able to be held upright and used as props/play swords and shields as advertised via photos and descriptions. Which was great and saved me time from doing it by hand. That is NOT the case—opened it and essentially it’s literally paper, thinner than poster board and card stock. They do NOT stay in its shape when held as shown in the photos ect..save your money and just create your own template for FREE by drawing it free hand or print one out then cut them with poster board. I tried cutting corners to try and save myself time and just purchased these but that was a huge mistake on my end. Don’t make the same mistake as I did.Are they a good template to use? Yes..for sure! They hit the mark with that. As for everything else..hard pass.

My kid loves making shields and swords out of cardboard, so this was a natural. These are pre-cut out of what I would call very heavy paper.The paper is nice and white, allowing a lot of decorating options. The size is good. There are handle strips that can be taped onto the shields. Overall, it's a lot of fun and saves me having to cut swords or shields out of Amazon boxes.The only problem, and this is what kept the review at 4 stars instead of 5, is that the paper is thin and floppy and there isn't a lot you can do about that. Had they added some creases and tabs or tape there could have been fold-in-place stiffeners that would have helped.But if you want to have kids decorate shields and swords at a birthday party or the like, these would be great for that.

The pictures of these make you think that they are sturdier cardboard, like you could hold up the shield and sword and possibly "fight" with them. No. These are very thin. They flop over. They are more for decorating and hanging on a wall that using. So, if you want it for people to hang up and display then these are perfect. If you'd like these to be used like the kids are using them in the photos - it's a no.

These are too flimsy for swords and shields. Would not recommend
