Q: What is the email address to obtain the app for reconfiguring the unit

I would give up on that. The manual comes with a support email address, but the likelihood that you will get something useful and get interface info with the device is pretty close to zero. It's a good device, make no mistake. I use mine hard every day.

Q: I have a panel with approx 100voc and want to charge a 12v system. Will this work?

The specs say 100VOC is the limit for the 12V unit. So theoretically yes. But for long term durability, maybe the theoretical limit is not where you want to be. I went thru a couple of these and found that they were inefficient and not durable. Ultimately I went with a more high end unit (Victron) and it not only spends a lot more time charging, vs. sensing battery voltage, but has also lasted longer.

Q: Where do you mount the temperature sensor, is for the ambient room temp or for the battery temp? Should it be fixed the the battery case? Etc.

I don't think there's a temp sensor to mount. I've installed 3 of these in that last 2yrs and none came with an external temp sensor. Within reason, the charger doesn't really need to know about batt temp anyways. Lithium batts will have a BMS that will pay attention to temp, other batt types aren't all that sensitive to temp, within reason.
