Bass Guitar Pedals Preamp Overdrive Pedal with EQ and Noise Reduction DI Output for Pop Funk Metal Bassist Electric Guitar (TIDAL WAVE R-30)

Just got The Tidal Wave and tried it out for a good while. Heard it's a clone of a great DI and unfortunately now a days I'm on a budget now that gigs are becoming less available and I have to downsize to travel further. Honestly, I got it for size, because my other DI didn't fit on my new board by an inch, so this fits great, but besides that, it does have a real good amount of sound shaping. My bass's already sound real good on their own, so I just wanted something to compliment that, and this sure did !!! I have a few basses, but tried it on my Ibanez with their new T1 pickups that I really like, and my Spector with EMG's - and it enhances the tone on both REAL good !!! Just when I thought my tone couldn't get better, it is...lol So I'm very happy with my purchase !!! I haven't tried it live yet, but I'll be back to let you know how it goes through the DI out to the house. Prolly won't bring my Amp to the next casino gig, so I'll probably use this to it's full extent sooner then later. This is just my first reaction from in my room through a practice Amp, but if it sounds this good here, it usually does out there, so.... 5 stars so far !!!

Never played the original pedal that this is based on. That being said, this is a complete cheat code for working with an amp that you simply don't like the sound of. Running this pedal directly into the effects return completely bypasses the crappy preamp and has you utilizing just the power amp and speaker. Even without adjusting anything from neutral, it sounds fantastic. The KEY FEATURE is the blend control. The blend control mixes your clean guitar signal with the "pedal affected" signal. Your "pedal affected" signal includes DRIVE and PRESENCE. Your clean signal includes just the Treble/Mid/Bass EQ stuff. For example, you won't get DRIVE until you begin to rotate the BLEND clockwise. Why only 4 stars? I don't use this as a DI. I play it into a crappy bass combo amp through the effects return. <-Like a lot of people do. I, therefore, do not need an "always on" cab-sim feature. I am already playing through a speaker cabinet. Playing a cab-sim through a cabinet sounds muffled. I wish so badly for the ability to turn off the cab-sim. The BLEND knob is the workaround, but I can't help but wonder how great this thing might sound to be able to enjoy the DRIVE feature without the cab-sim engaged.

Obsessed with this thing. I love my bass tone to begin with but this really lets you dial in the tone and makes my fuzz pedal sound great. Truly love it. I was looking at dark glass .. Compared that to the monomyth and finally monomyth to the tidal wave and the tidal wave is my favorite of them all and reasonable price

The Tidal wave sounds amazing. You can get so many different tones out of this. I have a few Joyo products and they all sound great. Paired this with the Double thruster and get a great punchy modern metal sound.

I don't know, it doesn't work, no matter what 9v I use it won't power up, frustrating.

This pedal makes great recordings possible. It adds that extra little bit of grit you need for your bass tracks. For recording with distorted guitars, the overdrive on this pedal helps the bass sit in the mix nicely. It's not an exact Sansamp replacement, but it comes darn near close. For me, it would've been a 5-star pedal if it had a compressor on it. In my opinion, some sort of compression on bass is necessary. TL;DR - Great pedal for the price, but get a compressor pedal to get more out of it.

Als Basser der einen richtig guten OD sucht, als Alternative zum Sansamp, möcht ich behaupten das dieses Pedal seine Aufgabe hervorragend erfüllt. Hab ich meiner kette nur 2 Zerren, diesen OD und den Big Muff. Damit bin ich mit nahezu allem abgedeckt.

Excelente. Yo uso un bajo pasivo Ibanez TMB30 y me encanta como suena, es muy cómodo y todo... Pero, el ingeniero de mi banda se quejó porque recibía muy poca señal y por eso busqué un preamp. El sonido es brutal y con muy poco volumen de pastillas consigo que suene increíble. El pedal es precioso y se escucha fenomenal. El precio es baratísimo y no tuve que comprar un Sansamp. Estoy muy muy satisfecho con mi compra, tanto que voy a comprar el Joyo Scylla Compressor. Estoy feliz. Si lo estás pensando, no lo dudes y hazlo ya. Además el pedal me permitió escuchar cosas que estaban escondidas en mi bajo y no me daba cuenta. De verdad estoy feliz. Es un primer preamp increíble. Si aprendes a usarlo y después piensas que necesitas otro ya sabrás exactamente lo que necesitas. Por lo pronto yo no necesito más para sonar profesional y tocar en vivo, en cualquier amplificador o grabar en mi casa.
