When my daughter ran out of kiwi brown shoe polish for her army cadets boots, I tried to get a cheaper option. It was awful, terrible colour and coverage, I repurchased Kiwi polish and will not stray again.

I have used Kiwi polish in its various guises for years and already know it’s quality but with varying shades of brown available (light tan, dark tan etc etc) I came to the reviews to try to get an idea of suitability.Some say it’s dark brown, some say it’s more red so to try to help others I thought a before & after photo of my old battered, paint splattered & scuffed dog-walking boots may help. I used these as a trial before applying to my intended shoes.It certainly is a distinct reddy colour from the tin and has a reddish, chestnut look to it once applied to the boots.It gives a nice finish and the dog hasn’t complained yet.I hope this is useful.

Good product, my first choice in polish

Firstly, the shoe polish has a best before date on the side of the tin and I received my tin 2 days before the best before! I purchased it about a year ago though and it's still usuable, but the polish has cracked and dried a little.Other than this I'm very happy with the product. It is easy to use and got my leather boots looking as good as new.
