Regarding the fit
So many reviews wrote that these sandals were way too big and many customers had ordered a full size down. I wear a US women's size 8 in the 1460 boots. That is the the size of women's styles (not with unisex sizing). With that said, I have a slightly wider foot, not enough to need increased widths in shoe sizing, but enough that some sandals just don't fit me comfortably. I went ahead and took the chance and ordered my usual size 8 (the sizes listed are US sizes). They fit me PERFECTLY. I can see where if you have a narrow foot or a "thinner" (top to sole) foot, these could be too big. the upper strap is roomy while the strap across the toe area is snug. the ankle strap is comfortable and supportive. You do have to buckle and unbuckle to get them on and off, no slip on features like elastic under the buckle (which I prefer anyway since that usually wears out quickly). I have worn them around my house and not identified any pinch points that could lead to blistering. What I want to say is that these shoes are LIGHT. They look like they have a monster heavy sole, but that isn't the case. The sole is extremely light and the arch support - nice and high.I hope this helps anyone who might be confused on the sizing.

I did not order a size down
The media could not be loaded. I wear a us 10 in women’s in all my other docs. I know people said to size down, but I went with my normal size. If I size down in anything other than a 10, the actual foot bed is not long enough for me at all (Tell me why companies don’t make a 9.5??????). I’ve had my eye on these sandals for so long so I decided to order them. They are fantastic to walk in, so comfortable and so light. They are amazing and I’ve been a fan of everything that dr martens makes since forever.... however!!!!!!! I don’t know why the designers of this shoe made the straps SO LARGE because I would literally need an inch taken off from all of them in order for my foot to fit. This is such a shame because I can’t even order down cause the size 10 foodbed is the perfect length for my foot.... so there’s no hope to order a size 9 *cries*Update: went to the mall, tried on a 9. As I thought, shoe is way too small for my foot. I don’t know how this works for you smaller sizes lol but I guess dr martens sandals just can’t be a thing for me. I have the same issue with the Voss sandal

So cute better in person but not for short toes
they are SO CUTE I wanted them to work so badly but I have itty bitty short toes. I usually wear a 8.5 in the Chloe boots by dr. Marten I wear 9 and in these I got 8 (perfect length) they are more comfy that any dress martens I’ve ever had great support I was so disappointed when I took a few steps and my fat little baby toe stuck out 😐 I tried to tighten and pull the straps.. I got the ones that have the chunky one band over the top of the foot instead. I was super excited to wear these but yeah if you have long to average toe length it will work. For example my toes NEVER hang over on flip flops if yours toes are like mine they won’t work

For once I can say I’m glad to have wide feet!
I’ve wanted Doc Martens sandals for a long time, so when I saw them for good price I couldn’t resist. This is the first time I’ve purchased patent leather Docs, and although I had my reservations since it might be too shiny, I found it actually doesn’t look bad since the sandal design doesn’t make the shine overwhelm the look of the shoe. In fact, I think it adds a nice, funky touch that is definitely different from their traditional smooth leather.I tend to wear 6 1/2 in womens in general, but with Docs I tend to wear size 6 with not much problem—so I basically size down (1/2 size) anyway when buying Docs. So despite all the reviews saying to size down one size, I figured since I size 1/2 size down for Docs normally, the shoes should (hopefully) fit fine. And they do👍It’s interesting to see—visually—how my foot fits the actual sole: I imagine that’s how my foot looks like on the sole bed if my Docs boots were invisible, lol. And the sandal cups my foot perfectly. I also find the sole and straps conform to my foot pretty well without much space in between. The ankle strap fits well too, although I can see that needing some breaking in since moving it one notch looser is pretty loose. And it’s surprisingly light, given the girth of the sole—it’s almost like a platform shoe! The thing I must mention though: I HAVE WIDE FEET. See, I wear a 6 1/2 size normally to compensate for the width of my feet, although I can wear size 6 on occasion—if the shoe IS wide or can conform to width (like Toms).Bottom line: if you find that you size 1/2 size bigger for shoes in general because of width, then these shoes may work out for you: just go 1/2 a size down. I honestly hate having wide feet, although it seems to have worked in my favor in this case—finally😆

First Impression: IM IN LOVE
These are my second set of Doc Martens I have ordered from Amazon. I am very pleased! I ordered these shoes a size down than my usual size because other reviews were saying that the shoes run large. So I have a size US 7 when I normally wear a US 8. I have a set of 1460s in US 8 and they fit perfectly. My only complaint so far is that the leather straps on top of the foot are a bit tight, but I expect them to stretch with wear. All Docs need time to break in. These shoes are super light and a little awkward (but still comfy) to wear.

Perfect if you buy size down
I've been wearing 6 uk all my adult life in every make of shoe you can think of. But 6 in these was way too big. I'm average width across the top of my foot and have a bunion,(widest part 23cm) on my left foot. Sz6 was way to big with a big gap across and length. Sz5 are perfect, not tight across my foot or bunion. My left foot is 24cm long and the sandal is 25cm long heel to toe with my heel sitting perfect at the back and 1cm at the toe. If every pair measures the same size, seriously take the time to measure your foot and save yourself sometime.

I keep trying them on in the hope they will adapt to my feet as the sole is incredibly comfortable to stand/walk on
Middle strap is a bit too narrow for my feet (high instep) which pushes my feet back so there's space left over at my toes but the heel almost hangs over. I tried them on beforehand but this is something you only notice when wearing them longer, not just a 5 minutes try on.The closing straps around the ankle gave me chafing blisters and the buckle pushes against my ankle bone in an unpleasant way.All in all, I keep trying them on in the hope they will adapt to my feet as the sole is incredibly comfortable to stand/walk on... fingers crossed.

Good fit and comfortable
Lovely Dr Martens style. Padding on ankle strap. Feel good on my feet. I am Size 5 usually and the size 5 fits perfectly.Look great with long dresses and shorter dresses and smock tops.

Lovely sandals!
Lovely sandals! Look great and really comfy, with no strap rubbing issues!I take a size 8 and often find shoes a little too small or narrow, even my other DMs, but not with these! So may be other folk with "standard" feet could find them roomy.Very pleased with the prompt delivery and packaging. Would definitely use this supplier again.
