These are overall good stocks for everyday use and maybe as a second layer in the winter.... I would not really class these as hiking socks as they are mainly cotton which does not really wick away moisture and isn't very good in the winter for letting your feet warm.... For true hiking socks you should go for wool...But as stated for general use these are gold stocks... Lol well made and offer extra cushioning and padding.... Best to wash inside or on a cool wash and they should last..

Comfortable socks, they fit well including around the toes (often a problem I find with socks), and while they are fairly tight they are not too tight on my narrow ankles. I very much like the design too, quite striking.
