The only reason I switched is because the bayonet style gauge is a lot easier to read from any angle. The bayonet gauge has marking on several sides so you don't have to twist the inflator around to get the right angle to see the reading. Unlike my Milton 501 gauge that has a small round magnifying viewing window. You have to be looking straight on to read the pressure other wise It is hard to see especially in low light situations.The Exelair is not as big or beefy as my 501 gauge but it work just as good and is dead on accurate as I have a Dill tire pressure gauge calibrated check station to check and calibrate my tire pressure gauges.
