100 percent cotton latex free gauze roll - yes!
Flextek cotton gauze roll feels soft on the skin and gave 5 layers of softness to my very tender skin on my foot. I padded the incisions with gauze sponges also purchased on Amazon called McKesson Gauze Sponges.I liked these features:* 100 percent cotton* Latex free* Long* 4 Yards when stretched which means that the gauze would be soft and spongy when compressed from the package.* SterileThe tag placed on the bag says FDA approved but that claim was not a factor in my purchase. In my past career I was a “wound nurse” so I know what works to help a wound heal. I would not place this gauze directly on a burn because the threads would stick to the wound. This gauze is a good choice for going over a wound that is padded with a “sponge” that doesn’t stick to the wound. There is no writing on the individual packages which is fine for home use but in a hospital situation I must see “sterile” before I can use the item if “sterile” is required. The outer plastic package has the word “sterile.” A facility must keep the outer plastic with the gauze rolls so workers remember they are sterile or find a way to label them. For home use, this is not a problem. I would purchase these again and recommend them to friends and family.I purchased these gauze rolls after breaking both ankle bone and tearing lots of tendons and muscle tissue. The emergency room padded the foot to stabilize it until surgery day. Surgery was done at the end of the week to place metal plates and screws to align the bones. My skin reacted like an allergy and infection to the thread used to stitch the wound. The ruined bones and tissues in the foot did not want anything to touch the foot. The nerves were inflamed. What was I to do? My town does not have a medical supply company. The local big box stores did not have 100 percent cotton medical supplies. I turned to Amazon and have not been disappointed. My foot was wrapped very softly like a pillow with the at the emergency room and after surgery. This Flextek feels softer than the hospital and outpatient surgery padding but this could be because I do not stretch the gauze. Everyone’s needs are different. I would not put this gauze on an open wound or burn. If there is an open would or incision, I would put a soft sponge between the wound and rolled gauze. On top of the gauze I used a self stick wrap also bought on Amazon to stabilize the foot and help prevent swelling. I know this is a longer review and thank you for taking the time to read this review and hope you found the review and photos helpful.

Great for packing wounds!!!!
I was so thankful to find this gauze on Amazon. My husband recently was involved in an accident resulting in a gunshot to the right upper quadrant. He had hernia surgery in the past and alot of mesh was used. After the trauma surgery, he had to be left open. I had been using 4x4's , unfolding them and soaking them in Dakins solution to pack the wound. When I received this gauze it made my job so much easier. I was able to use the exact amount I needed by making one cut , then soaking and packing. Thank you so much for making this gauze available for purchase on Amazon!

Best gauze I've ever used.
I have a serious leg wound that requires re-dressing twice a day for many months. This gauze is hands down the best I've ever used. I can get 2 re-dressings from one roll of gauze. It is so soft and comfortable I hardly know it's there. It stretches or can be used without stretching. I will be buying more of this product. To manufacturer: please don't stop making this product! You have a real winner here.

...
I suffered a large, deep second degree burn, about 5 inches in each direction, on the back of my right knee. It's been five days and it's finally starting to heal up. Went to the hospital to get it double checked and they confirmed no infection. I've been using CVS brand non stick pads directly over the burn and these gauze rolls to secure the pads. They are really soft and look exactly like the ones I got at the hospital. The nice part compared to the gauze rolls I found at the store, namely CVS brand, is that they are really long and completely wrap my wound. The store rolls I bought were shorter and did an okay job but ran out before I could thoroughly wrap my upper thigh, knee, and upper shin. I will say that this gauze definitely sticks and hurts like an SOB when removing, even after soaking, so do not use as a primary dressing on a burn or wound that produces pus or allow it to touch those type of injuries without something underneath. The real MVP is the non stick pad but I can't find them on Amazon to review. I'm using Neosporin and Medihoney to treat the wound, and self adhering tape or 3M surgical non stick tape to secure the gauze and avoid any painful sticking to my leg hairs or wound. I would buy this again. I will say that it feels slightly less soft than the CVS gauze, which is flat and not "puffy". This gauze looks like it would be coarse because of its fluffy mesh appearance but it isn't.

Needed for surgery after care
Needed to have more gauze for stitches that were still weeping and the supply I got from the hospital was about out. I ordered to have and they worked perfectly. I was pleased with them and they were in sep. packaging pretty much the same as what I had in the hospital. I still have 3 of the 6 left my wound healed and no longer need to bandage it. Will keep incase I need later.

Small packaging is easy to carry!
Firstly, thank you for carrying the sterile rolled gauze in small packaging. It makes for an easy travel product.Secondly, rolled cotton gauze is currently a necessity for me. I go to wound care once a week for a compression wrap. Having the correct products, such as this gauze, at home, allows me to remove the compression wrap and rewrap without making a 2nd trip to wound care.I am considering making my sisters their own emergency kit. This would be on the top of that list!

I purchased on package to try. My son had a deep surgical wound that had to be tightly packed daily. Some of the gauze we bought locally stuck to the wounds and was very painful. We found some at a pharmacy that worked but was very expensive. I looked online and found this product. I was very pleased with it and the nurse said it worked great. I ordered more as this was much more economical than that available at the pharmacy. I highly recommend this product.

Soft padding
At first, I used this as a second layer of padding over a fine mesh gauze covering my many stitches. Now that the stitches are out, I use this as a first layer. In both cases, I covered with a top layer of self adherent wrap to hold everything in place and prevent snags when I was moving around.
