Great Coffee and a Good Price
If you enjoy strong, black coffee and have not tried Sumatran coffee, you should. The Amazon brand is a real bargain, much less expensive than the name brands and just as good. Sumatran coffee is dark, strong, and smooth. It has a very straightforward flavor profile that just tastes great. I think of it as the Rolls Royce of coffee, but that's just my opinion of course. To fully enjoy this great coffee, I would encourage you to invest in a good coffee pot and grinder, as well as a digital scale (to weigh exact portions of whole beans to consistently get just the flavor you want), some sort of a water filter, and an airtight cannister. I use a 5 cup Bonavita coffee maker, a Tuni grinder (set to 16), Zero water filter, an Inevifit digital scale(at 20 grams of coffee beans for 16 oz of water), and an Airscape medium canister (which will hold the entire 12 oz bag of the Sumatran beans). I also use a permanent mesh filter. Paper filters soak up the some of the oils that are in the coffee. Some people prefer that taste, but I do not. I realize that the initial cost outlay is a bit pricey for all of this. However, if you enjoy coffee and drink it every day like I do, it's absolutely worth every penny. You will be amazed at how much better your coffee will taste with the proper equipment and a little effort.

Great Price, Great Taste, Auto-Delivery and You’re All Set!
As coffee prices have gone up at the grocery stores, I was looking for a more affordable option. This tastes so much like my go-to organic blend from Whole Foods and it’s 1/3rd cheaper AND I get FREE DELIVERY with Amazon Prime AND with a SUBSCRIPTION, I’ve locked in the low price AND I’m never left without any coffee left which, if you know me, would result in disaster. I literally cannot talk until I get my coffee! What gets me out of bed? The smell and taste of this coffee blend. It’s smooth, fresh and definitely not too acidic for my sensitive stomach. If you want a coffee that’ll please anyone, buy this roast. I’m so pleased I found this - nothing like solving an issue, saving money and achieving greater efficiency - all while not sacrificing the taste or quality. Top Notch! P.S. I’m also not even tempted to buy Starbucks anymore either!

Mild
Good coffee but a bit too mild for me. I like a bold but not bitter coffee and this is not bitter and has a decent taste but even adding extra coffee to the brew, I can’t get a strong enough coffee flavor for me. I would buy this brand again but I’ll look for a darker roast.

Strong flavor
It has a strong pungent flavor that I puked on when my wife made it way too strong. You have to use about 15% less, and it tastes like espresso. Not too acidic, strong flavor can be too strong.

Underperforming dark roast
Not bold or dark enough for our taste. It's ok, but not cheap enough to make up for the lack in taste. I used the same bean to water ratio as I do with other dark roasts and was underperforming.

Tasty
I ordered the Amazon Sumatra whole bean for my espresso. The Sumatra is pretty good. I love Sumatra and it's usually quite expensive so this is a good value. It's a low acid, dark roast and goes down smooth. The beans were fresh and they make an excellent espresso and cappuccino. I've had better Sumatra but I've also had inferior. It's a good dark roast for regular drip or French press as well.

Not bad for a bargain brand.
This Sumatra is a little less robust than other Sumatra's I have tried. You may like it that way, as it's less stout and easier to handle for a lot of people. I bought this to mix with some Tim Horton coffee I have...I love Tim Horton coffee, the after-taste is to die for, but there is zero initial punch, so I thought mixing it with some Sumatra would give it a better kick right off the bat and may even out the overall experience....It has been fairly successful so far. What I am trying to do now is prefect the ratio...So far the best mix seems to be about 60% Tim Horton and 40% Sumatra.
