Used this to upgrade an old Surefire P6 lamp and button feature. Be realistic and do not expect this item to turn a 2007-era P6 into a handheld version of the Surefire X300 Turbo. It has the same light output of about 100lumens, cleaner light flood, smooth light print on a wall, better and easier light activation on the tail cap. Better clicking compared to the older and worn out one. For now, clicks, activates and stays on as intended. Works well for an update to an older light that does not washout to a blinding light against a white wall. Your situation may be different.

I have a couple old old flashlights i found in some of my camping boxes and the lenses were pretty trashed. Decided to try this upgrade and it definitely brought them back to life. Much better light from it now but to be fair on what the kit is, its not turning the mini into a blazing spotlight.

Read a review that said this didn't work well because the light wasn't bright enough and that if the head moves it shuts off. Ok first the light is bright enough. It's not the brightest AA bulb I have but for turning wrenches in the garage I think works great because the light doesn't bounce of objects and blind you. Second you do have to adjust the lens cap so that it does stay on and you don't get the doughnut of death. I used thread lock to keep it in position. For the price works great and I don't have to throw out a light. One change would make it better. New design to add a standing butt cap to protect the button and so you could stand the light on end.

Easy to assemble, make sure polarity is right. Works very well.

I have bought two of these, to upgrade two old mini Maglites. This product does works as advertised, this is just a heads up. I would not buy this again. I contacted Nite Ize customer support to see about purchasing extra light bulbs, because I could not find their bulbs for sale either on Amazon or their own website. Nite Ize support sent back, saying this product can only be purchased as a kit. So there is no way to buy just their bulbs. So when the bulbs burn out you are left with purchasing a $22.00 kit again. Bulbs are also a Nite Ize exclusive bulb, no other way to buy them. What a scam, very crappy trick on their customers. Hope this is helpful. Beware!!!

Doesn't work in the older mini mag flashlights, like 1990's. Had to send it back for a refund.

These have given new life to my old maglites. I had several of the AA style flashlights from years past and they were just collecting dust due to poor light performance. Back in the day, maglites were the best you could get, but now with high lumen leds, they have been left behind. This allowed me to upgrade my old faithful lights to bring them up to present day. I enjoy the battery life I am getting and the amount of light that my flashlights output now. Definitely worth it!

Good quality however, when trying to install it in an old flashlight, it did not initially work. I had to pull the flashlight apart all the way and clean it. Also, LEDs are polarity sensitive incandescent bulbs are not.

Great conversion product changed my old flashlight from 30 years ago. Now instead of changing burnt out light bulb we now use the new led bulb and now a push button on/ off makes it so bright and easier to use...
