Many good qualities
Very impressed with this puzzle from Cross & Glory. I'm a stickler for a good puzzle, and this one came through. Here are some qualities I've noted while putting this together:1. The pieces were a tiny bit thin, but durable enough...not flimsy at all, but not super thick either.2. The pieces fit well together--there were very few times where I felt like two pieces MIGHT have fit, but then didn't.3. When opening up the puzzle, only two pieces were together...the other 998 were nicely separated and shuffled.4. No pieces were missing! Also, there were no EXTRA pieces, as sometimes happens with new puzzles (how does that even happen?!).5. The puzzle was challenging, but not TOO challenging. There were enough patterns to follow so that each day I could tackle a section or two and not get tired of it.6. Once the basic patterns were completed, there was still about 20% of the puzzle to put together that was a little more difficult. That's okay...don't want to have it all too easy (or too much too hard and frustrating).7. The colors were vibrant, and the final puzzle perfectly reflected the picture of the puzzle on the box.One small issue: The insert with the final picture is helpful, but it was small. It was, however, more clear than the slightly larger picture on the box. So, between the two, they were very helpful, but it was hard to see the full detail, even with my glasses on. Not a deal killer though; just a bit harder to see the fine details of some of the puzzle's finer nuances of color.Overall, I was really impressed with this puzzle and enjoyed it immensely. Good to know there is a nice brand that I can rely on for future purchases. I also bought the octopus, which looks a bit more challenging, and I'll review that when I'm finished...looking forward to breaking it out! :)

Exceptional quality
Love Cross & Glory puzzles. Colors in the picture are as vibrant on the pieces. Pieces fit together like a glove and are easy to move into place. My favorite brand of puzzles. Right amount of challenge and ease.

Quality and artistry
I can't say enough positive about this puzzle brand. The art is fabulous and the quality of materials used for the puzzle is outstanding. I own many, many of their phzzles. Winter's coming. Stock up!

Ridiculously small poster included…update…workaround
I wish I could give this 5 stars. The fit of the pieces is excellent. The sheen is adequately matte. And the image, I love it. So much color and the art is a visual feast for the eyes. However, the included poster is a joke. It is 5” x 7”, in other words, tiny. For most puzzles that wouldn’t be a problem because there is always the art on the box right? Well, the box is also tiny. Tiny box means tiny picture. The picture on the box isn’t much bigger than the included poster. This is one puzzle you need an adequate image to reference. The art is abstract, so doesn’t follow the normal rules. There are many small details that help locate the correct location of a piece. Without an image that can be carefully studied it is an exercise in frustration. I have no problem with a difficult puzzle. This puzzle would be that even with a larger reference image but difficult and frustrating are not the same thing.Maybe their licensing agreement for that art doesn’t allow for a larger poster but next time they should spend a little more to allow for a larger poster.Update.I found a workaround. Not as good as having a larger poster but it works. The manufacturer's website has higher quality images than can be found here. I saved one to my iPad and I am able to zoom right in.I changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars because I found a workaround, the image is amazing and because I have finished the puzzle and am even more impressed with the quality of the pieces. I have built many puzzles from many brands and can say that this is the best fitting puzzle I have built. I didn’t have any misfits. The pieces are a bit thinner than average but that is fine because the cardboard is of better quality and stronger. There are no worries about bending the nubs over.A suggestion to the manufacturer, INCLUDE LARGER POSTERS.

Challenging!
Challenging puzzle! I'm a regular puzzler and this one took me almost twice as long as most. The included "poster/picture" is worthless because it's so small that details are impossible to see. The pieces are all the same "traditional" shape, making it all that much more difficult due to know unique shapes/cuts.

Fun one
Cross and Glory puzzles have two shapes for the pieces, with a predictable layout. This was a fun one, very few pieces are without some detail to make placement less tedious. Only complaint is that C&G puzzles are fragile, the cardboard delaminates a lot easier than other brands. I assemble once, so it's not an issue, but repeat assembly might be damaging.
