Great tasting pancake mix
I didn't buy it for being gluten-free. My significant other wanted pancakes that were less-carbs / didn't have bleached white wheat flour. We tried Birch Benders low carb mix and didn't like it at all- found it to be too grainy and just not enjoyable. The GF version, on the other hand cooks nicely and tastes great, not grainy and while not especially "fluffy" the texture is enjoyable- kind of reminds me of crumpets- a little spongy. We really like it and have purchased several packages of it. It's a little on the pricey side compared to cheap run of the mill mixes but when just considering it on its own merits and cost per plate, I feel it is a reasonable price.

Not 6, just one. Way too expensive for 14oz
Description says “ Birch Benders Pancake and Waffle Mix Plain (6x14 OZ)”. I just received 1 14oz bag. Missing about...5.

Best GF pancakes out there
It's really annoying that GF options are few and far between in-store and if you do find any online, they cost the moon. For those of us with intolerances (for me, it's a migraine trigger), this is more than just a fad; it's a health need, so shopping for foods I can actually eat without getting sick is expensive and frustrating. Once in a while, I like to feel "normal" and eat what everyone else does. These are really yummy--I put fresh fruit on top, if I have some, or my fave--frozen cranberries (a handful in the microwave for 20 seconds first, then they go in the batter--so good!). Ignore the directions, and wing it--trust your eye. Also, I don't use just water. I use about 50-50 non-dairy milk and water. Miyoko's non-dairy butter in the pan (yeah, I can't do dairy, either, great fun). Get all the lumps out and make sure it's just shy of runny. I use extra creamy oat milk, which I find makes the perfect pancake. You won't feed a family with this bag, but it's just me, so I don't mind as much. Worth the price to feel I can join my family in a Sunday morning traditional breakfast again!
