Fa esattamente il suo lavoro, non semplicissimo da installare, va regolata bene la sensibilità della fotocellula e l’angolo di azione della pompa ma una volta risolto questo lieve inconveniente da un sacco di soddisfazioni. Sono due giorni che non vedo più gatti nel mio giardino, consiglio vivamente!

Product took longer than expected to arrive. Sprinkler does not connect directly to garden hose? Shipped with male quick connect but not compatible with a standard garden hose, very disappointing.

... this item daily for four months now, so I feel that I have given it enough of a run to be able to sensibly comment. I will start by telling you what I use it for. This product has saved my garden ! I utilise it to deter cats from entering under a side gate and using my borders to relieve themselves on with uncanny - and dismaying - regularity. Since installing this product, my soil has not been defaecated upon even once ! No more do I have to contend with that putrid odour of pussy excrement as I stoop to scoop the poop yet again. I have it permanently attached to a hose which is fitted with an electronic timer. As I do not wish to be soaked every time I go to my garage, I have set the timer so that it comes on from seven at night to seven in the morning and I adjust it with the seasons. (As I am mostly at home during the day, I find that the cats are not so much an issue during daylight hours.) Please note that if you do this, there is always some residual water in the system and I recommend dangling a foot in front of the sensor for that first discharge before walking past in the mornings ! And do make sure that you remember to warn anyone else who might be housesitting, for example ! Otherwise, they will not thank you as the oscillating jet stays on for about five seconds and doesn't take any prisoners !! The direction and reach of the spray are easily adjustable. The motion sensor, I have found, works extremely well but one has to use some sense with these things ! Yes, it will be set off by things blowing around in front of it so position it facing a bare wall or fence if you can (or ensure that large plants are sufficiently far away) and don't leave it facing the sun. And anyway, the occasional 'false alarm' is a small price to pay for a cat-free garden !! I have yet to change the batteries and the unit is working as well as it did when first installed. As is my wont, I shall update this review should the product cease to function as it should at any stage. I will be very surprised if it makes it through the winter unscathed, but I shall certainly give it a go. If I have missed anything that you desperately wish to know, ask a question and I will do my best to respond... FV P.S. I have a field at the foot of my garden and to keep the cats away at that end - because another one of these would be a little extravagant - I have a PIR motion sensor built into an audio recorder onto which I have recorded the sound of a big dog barking loudly ! It's quite fun listening to their madly scrabbling paws when they first encounter it !! With both deterrents, I can finally breathe easy. AAAaaahhh... P.P.S. 09.04.2024 - Amazingly, the unit DID survive the winter (although I took it into the garage for three of the really cold days). I changed the batteries last month for the first time in ten months. It is still going strong, with no leaks, and I think that's pretty good... P.P.P.S 08.01.2025 - this item has finally broken as I forgot to take it inside during the latest really cold spell and the plastic has burst ! It's my fault. You can't question the quality of the product, really. And, frankly, even if I had to buy a new one every year, I think that's worth doing for the function that it performs...

Je n'ai pas l'habitude de faire des avis aussi long mais cet appareil m'a sorti vraiment de l’embarras, j'apporte donc ma contribution.Ayant tout essayé contre les attaques de hérons (boules, fil de nylon, détecteur avec flash,...), j'ai opté pour cette solution sans grand espoir, la technique que j'ai utilisé c'est un raccordement sur un programmateur d'arrosage programmé (en matinée de 5h00 à 8h30) au moment des attaques les plus fréquentes, ceci me permettant d’éviter de gaspiller de l'eau quand je suis là en journée, ou de revenir trempé si je vais à la pièce d'eau ( à noter ici, j'ai placé l'appareil en position 5), je suis content du résultat, plus d'attaque en matinée, juste le vols des hérons au dessus de la pièce d'eau en journée quand je suis là,donc il faut bien comprendre que l'appareil fonctionne tout le temps, c'est juste l'arrivée d'eau qui est coupée ou ouverte a un horaire bien précis. L'appareil fonctionne bien 1.5 mois après, la pile d'origine n'est pas encore déchargée (j'avais la crainte de devoir replacer des piles rechargeables toutes les semaines, apparemment cela ne sera pas le cas.Je n'ai pas opté pour un système avec recharge des piles par cellules solaires vu le manque de fiabilité dans le temps de ce type de produit (voir les avis sur amazon). Si vous placez l'appareil, il faut y aller mollo, car ce produit n'est pas de haute solidité (pas étonnant vu le prix), bien serré et vérifier les jonctions pour les éventuelles pertes d'eau.Si il y a une inconnue c'est la tenue dans le temps de ce type de produit,et si un il un bémol, je dirais qu'il est dommage qu'une version plus qualitative (donc plus chère) n'existe pas sur le marché (voir même assez chère mais avec un bon service après vente, pour les réparations), à défaut je le remplacerai tous les ans, pour moi c'est mieux que de mettre un filet du matin jusqu'au soir en surface, ou de placer une barrière physique type fil électrique qui présente vraiment un souci esthétique.

Als 25 jaar probeer ik katten uit mijn tuin te houden. Speciale stinkende korrels, ultrasone apparaten, koffieprut, schrikdraad - niks werkte. Maar dit wel. Het werkt zelfs geweldig. Na anderhalve week geen kat meer gezien. Een prima bescherming voor de planten, vogels en andere dieren in te tuin. Per keer komt er maar iets van twee kopjes water uit, wat voldoende is voor een schrikeffect, maar zonder dat het meteen een natte kledderboel wordt of je een - letterlijk - verzopen kat krijgt. Het bereik en de gevoeligheid kan eenvoudig worden afgesteld middels een schuifje en een knop. Op maximale kracht komt het ding echt heel ver. Wel oppassen: even de waterdruk afschakelen voordat je zelf door de sensor loopt :)
