Decent shelf

Perfect for storing our board games. Matches the kallax we bought at IKEA perfectly.

Shelf had minor damage but the shipping box showed none, so someone packed it up like that. Component fit was poor which made assembly a pain. We bought this to be temporary solution for LP storage, and it will work for that; though I’ll probably get a little mad every time I look at it for a couple of weeks.

These are exactly what I was looking for!13"x13" shelves make for the perfect board game shelving units. We bought 4 of them and hung 3 on the wall and used the fourth as a baby desk.These come with some brackets to hang them on the wall. I would suggest just using those and some 100lb dry-wall plugs. We got too creative and tried to put them into studs all over. We only tried this for the first 2. The third we just used the dry wall plugs. :)And because I was a little paranoid about the weight capacity, we dropped another board of trim below them to give them a little more support.Overall, these units are amazing. They look great and function marvelously. I would absolutely buy them again.

We got this for my teen daughter’s room as we got her a tv for her birthday. A 32 in fits perfect on top. Very sturdy and well made. Easy to put together. Complaint is that on amazon it costs twice as much as IKEA. But ikea isn’t shipping or delivering so here we are... paying more.

The finish is nice. Assembly was a breeze. However, there is no type of backing to keep my LPs from sliding out the back of the unit. I am going to have to manufacture a lip to fix this. Otherwise, it's a nice, solid, and attractive piece of functional furnishing.

Ikea Kallax 4 Shelving Unit Black-Brown  The Ikea Kallax shelves are fairly well built and easy to put together. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble with no tools other than the included allen key. Though these are about 30 dollars more than Ikea's list price, it's better to buy from here because their shipping costs are through the roof (over $100 in this case). The only issue was that one of the edges of one of the pieces was just slightly banged up; not badly enough to return but slightly annoying (worth taking a star off). Other than that, it there are no scratches or dings to the finish and it looks great.

This was a great purchase. It's a legit ikea product. The drawbacks mentioned by others are largely around logistics. Yes, it took a long time to arrive (well past the original delivery date) and yes it's much more expensive than if you pick it up yourself at ikea. But you know what? It was worth it to have someone else take care of the purchase and shipping. Great seller and was responsive to my inquiries.
