I know this is required for set up but this could have been hidden behind the plate that covert eh SD card slot and the reset button and it would have made the unit so much easier to install.So in summary once set up and bedded down it seems to be OK but there is a long way to go before this product lives up to the Yale brand ### ⭐ Terrible - Not As Advertised *by J***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 May 2018* This is a terrible product; I had a qualified electrician come out to set this up, and it would not let us add the second wireless IP camera. I connected it to the cable broadband using an ethnet cable first as instructed, and the system kept on saying it had the same host name. We tried everything, to setting up just using the Yale View App, which then made an annoying “cookoo” sound whilst it tried misibrly to connect to my super fast Virgin cable broadband, and wouldn’t. The DVR is also very noisey, and you could not have this in a living room as the photos illustrate, as the fan is really loud. The instructions are also vague, and when trying to call Yale technical support, they were experiencing higher normal call volumes, so decided to return. This, in my opinion, as someone interested in technology and having a qualified electrician with me to setup, was a terrible product by Yale, and needs to go back to the design room. I never do reviews, but after the mess and out of pocket expense this has left me with having an electrician out to fit and cut holes in my outside fascia; I had to warn others before buying. ### ⭐ Very Poor - LOTS of firmware fixes needed *by C***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 June 2018* This is a very capable and we'll built system which is, for the most part, unusable: Cameras frequently disappear from the NVR for up to ten minutes at a time and when they are connected they only update the image every few seconds resulting in stuttering video. The app is even worse in that it rarely connects to all of my cameras, and can only playback in real time, starting from the beginning of the hour! These cameras are advertised as being part of the smart home system but do not be fooled...they do not integrate at all as I require a separate account and app for my cctv, my alarm, and my home view cameras - it is possible to connect the homeview camera to the NVR but only after enabling ONVIF in the home view camera so if you are not technically minded you can forget it. The only reason I am not sending this terrible system back is the gaping holes I would leave in the side of my house.
