Triple Eight Sweatsaver Liner Skateboarding Helmet, Royal Blue Rubber, X-Large

I bought this helmet because I needed one to skate in and I was impressed with the 4.8/5 star reviews. when it arrived after a quick look I was happy with it and impressed at how comfy and low profile it was, after A little farther examination it is clear to see that this helmet is not safe, there is no crushable foam or "Expanded Polystyrene" which is the stuff that is designed to crush on impact and absorb most high impact shock there are just some thin foam pads and a bendy plastic shell (its bendy enough that you can easily put it on sideways) and clearly states on the inside that this helmet "does not meet any national safety standards" and "Impacts even at very low speeds can result in injury or death". If you read any of the other positive comments, they are based solely on how much their grandchildren wear it and and how comfy it is, nothing concerning the safety even remotely. So if you want a comfy and stylish helmet and don't really care about permanent brain damage, paralysis, and death then this could be the perfect helmet for you but if that's the case whats the point of wearing a helmet in the first place. the only reason I took the time to write this long article is solely because I care, who knows, maybe it will save someone's life someday.

This helmet does not meet any safety standards for skating or biking. So lame to sell a helmet that isn’t much more than a piece of plastic. Posting a picture that states the warning.

Does not meet or exceed U.S. CPSC Bike and ASTM F-1492 Skate safety standards; no EPS, or MIPS. Returned item and purchased a Bern helmet instead. Triple 8 offers U.S. CPSC Bike and ASTM F-1492 Skate safety standards; get that one instead! Not this one if you truly want your skull and brains to be protected! Stay safe!

This is not a safe helmet. It lacks the foam core that prevents brain injuries. The pads are comfortable but the ABS shell alone is not sufficient for most applications. For the price and target demographics, it doesnt make sense not to have the foam (which explains the lack of dual certification... which even Bell brand helmets have).As a skater, you'd almost be safer without a helmet providing the illusion of safety because this helmet provides a false sense of security. It doesn't make any sense how many grandparents bought this for their grandchildren!A Bell helmet cost half as much and will provide more safety. I can't believe how many people left rave reviews and few people actually caught this. On the bright side, the return process was easy and streamlined. It is comfortable but mostly useless.

Bought this helmet based on the GREAT Amazon reviews, let me be the first to say it fits well, it looks awesome, priced amazingly well and has an awesome feel to it, (wait for it).. I was pretty stoked on this purchase until I gave it a squeeze and noticed how much it flexes which I thought was odd for a helmet with really only one job. I then flipped the lid over and noticed on the inside more warning labels than I have ever seen on any helmet I have ever owned.. (I was raised on back country skiing, Mountain biking, skating and motocross, I have seen a helmet or two, and no that doesn't make me the Helmet expert, I just like my brains to stay on the inside verses scattered all over the sidewalk). Take it for what its worth, the warning that jumped out on me was the following (Pic attached): "Warning: Product Designed for Recreational, Non-Advanced, Skate use only. It is NOT intended for Bicycle use and does not meet ANY National Safety Standards." Seriously? Not one? Not a single National Safety Standard? I'm no expert but shouldn't a Helmet designed to protect your head meet at least one National Safety Standard? Anyway the more you know.. Happy shopping.

I was hoping this helmet would fit. I measured my head and it was 24” exactly. I went a little conservative and bought the XXL, which supposedly goes from 24-25”. I had high hopes that I found the helmet that could actually fit over my big noggin. I shoved it on my head and felt my brain compress - it was way too snug! I can’t imagine anyone with a 25” head fitting into this.I like the design and the sweatsaver liner would have been great, but apparently I would need an XXXL, which doesn’t exist! Off to find another brand.

I was weary after reading some reviews about the sizing. I made sure to measure myself and then my girlfriend measured my head. We measured roughly one inch above my eyebrows and my head was 23.25 inches in "diameter". So, I ordered the X-large and when I first put it on, I have to say it was quite snug. I thought it was too snug at first and it was sitting too low on my head. I was disappointed to see that there were no thinner pads to exchange for the fatter pads inside the helmet, plus the straps around your ears DO NOT adjust like the video shows. After putting it on a few times, it seemed to get less snug and I put the helmet on so that it was about one inch above my eyebrows. When I did this, it felt better and my ears weren't being bent down at the tips. I'm going to keep this helmet, because I feel it will work well and it will "break in" over a few uses. I' still wish they included the thinner pads like the video shows. Pictures hopefully show the "fit", lack of room for ears, and the re's enough room to wear glasses. Sorry about the unshaven face, but I'm still dealing with a sunburn and I don't want to shave just yet.

I just got my helmet in and I love the fit, comfort, and the vibrant colors of the paint job. My only complaint is that the pictures don't show you that in addition to the very tasteful logo on the front of the helmet, there is a massive logo taking up basically the entire back of the helmet. I had purchased this one because I thought it was much sleeker than the other helmets out there but being a rolling billboard for the brand is pretty uncool. If Tony Hawk is selling your helmets you can probably back off of the obnoxious advertisements on your products.

Me encanta el color, es vibrante y con terminado tipo caucho suave.Me queda muy justo, pero no incomodo. Pedi XL, y mi cabeza mide aproximadamente 62 cm de circumferencia.El material interior es muy grueso, para ayudar a absorber el sudor. Mantiene el sudor fuera de los ojos, que es lo mas importante.El material de las correas, el seguro y los triangulos no se ve, o se siente de buena calidad. Es por esta razon y por que no llego en caja propia, sino solamente en una bolsa de platico (dentro de la caja de Amazon) es por la que no le puse 5 estrellas.No estoy seguro de si estos cascos se envian en caja propia, como ha sido mi experiencia con otras marcas, como con Pro-Tec.En general, muy satisfecho.

Compré dos, mediano y grande. Ambos me quedaron pequeños aunque me medí la circunferencia del cráneo y todo. Aún así es injusto calificar con menos de 4 estrellas al producto, trae buen material al exterior, cuesta mucho trabajo que se raye y el interior es fácil de limpiar o lavar. Si tienes duda de la talla como yo, ve mejor por la opción extra grande.

Cuando me lo probé en casa al recibirlo lo sentí un poco ajustado y pensé que me iba a molestar en las orejas, lo cual me pareció raro ya que compre el de talla Grande siguiendo las indicaciones en la pagina de TripleEight. Fue solo una sensación inicial. Lo uso cada vez que salgo en bici y la verdad no siento ninguna molestia y me siento super seguro al usarlo. Se ve super resistente a los golpes aunque espero no tener que probarlo nunca = )

Ligero pero con buen acabado, se ve bonito funciona muy bien, me quedo bien y se ve que protege bien, ahí vienen las tallas me medí la cabeza y se correlaciona muy bien.Lo compré para andar en scooter electrico xiaomi, al ser del mismo color con los mismos acabados parece que fuera de fábrica y vinieron juntos. Si lo recomiendo

todo perfecto!!!! y súper acojinado!!!! pero a mi me gusta usar el casco y gorra al mismo tiempo, y el casco queda tan perfectamente bien ajustado a la cabeza que es imposible usar gorra. por otra parte lo tuve que devolver porque el broche se atoraba y hacia complicado desabrocharlo con facilidad, pero es posible que solo haya sido problema del broche de ese casco en particular, pero el articulo vale la pena en realidad!!!!
