Once you understand the ‘mechanics’ of how AD starts & progresses, you’re provided solutions to combat the disease and either slow or halt its progress, and even reverse its damage. Results vary depending on a vast number of variables that are all examined. Cons - this is a serious book with a LOT of information. There are a LOT of footnote numbers provided for further reading - but there are no links to the numbers in the text to any references in the book. THAT is a huge miss! Either provide a source for the information highlighted by a footnote number, or simply remove the reference number. Very poor handling of that issue by the author/editor. While not a problem with the book - understand that you WILL need (at a minimum) a full metabolic blood panel and an A1C number, AND a few more specific blood tests (APOE type & copy) to be able to make a good judgement of where you stand with susceptibility and chances of successful corrective actions with AD. I don’t know if a medical doctor can order and discuss with you an APOE study, or an Amyloid study, or a p-tau study. You might have to seek out a neurologist to discuss whether you have ADHD, or even an early onset that can present itself as a mild cognitive disorder. A geneticist may be required for the APOE results. This book may provide more questions than answers regarding AD - BUT the corrective actions of the Keto12/3 diet plan and a better understanding of our current food quality in the U.S. may result in a better and healthier lifestyle for you. Excellent
With both of my parents suffering from dementia, I got this book in hopes of learning more about how I can avoid the path they are on. There is a ton of information in here that I already knew, but also a lot more that I didn't - mostly more technical/medical stuff. My husband and I are definitely utilizing some of what we have read and are glad to know we have been following a good portion of it already. I found the book easy to read and understand, and I am sharing it with those I love in hopes that they can start advocating for their health and taking steps to live a healthier life. I don't believe we are all doomed to cognitive decline. Changing your diet and lifestyle can go a long way in improving your healthspan.

Heard about this on U-tube
Good but very drawn out and frustrating trying to figure out what the heck I should and should not eat. Wish they would just say what to eat and offer some menus as my phD is not in science. Will go back and try to go through it again later on.

Excellent DIY Book for preventing and regarding cognitive decline
Incredibly helpful! Anyone suffering from brain degeneration (or any chronic disease) will benefit from reading and implementing the protocol this book outlines.

Very informative and quantitative
I liked that it gave lists and parameters and what to to first and how. It was life changing. Especially when I found a doctor to let me eat whole food plant based. I'm in the road to recovery!

Mit diesem Buch beschreibt Dale Bredesen mit allern Detials was man machen sollte, um Alzheimer zu vermeiden. Dafür hat sich der Wissenschaftler Bredesen mit Aerzten und Patienten zusammengetan . Es ist ein Meister-Program gelungen, das sehr gut verständlich ist. Danke Dale Bredesen!!
