Most of the time I just leave them in my work table which is in an outdoor location. The only thing I would recommend is to clean them using warm water, mild soap and a plastic bristle brush when they become dirty. Let them dry and lubricate the joints with machine oil. These tools will last for many years to come if you take these simple steps to keep them clean. After buying this kit I have purchased many other Tian Bonsai tools. I even had one of them break apart ( my fault though. ) Customer service is world class. He is the nicest guy and he strives to make every customer happy.I will remain a customer for many years to come. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars High quality material and design, VERY POOR EDGES.. *by D***B on Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2018* Let me start by saying that there are only two flaws that are causing me to give these tools a poor review.These tools appear to be made of very high quality material. Also the design of the tools, handles and pivots are top tier for sure.If the following flaws were nonexistent, I would give this tool set 5 stars, but unfortunately it isn't the case..The two shortcomings that have me angry about this product are that on the curved cutting tools (concave cutters, knob cutters) the cutting edges are not offset enough, and the tools are not as sharp as one would expect for this price point. Let me explain about the offset curved edges. On curved cutters, the cutting edges are supposed to be slightly offset. If they meet perfectly, they will pinch or bite the branch off instead of cutting cleanly. The curved cutters in this set have a very insignificant offset (they almost perfectly meet) causing them to pinch/crush the branches I meant to cut. Also the sharpness of the blades are mediocre.These two flaws are enough to earn a very poor review because I payed more than triple the going price for a set of this size, expecting them to be of much higher quality and was very disappointed. It also didn't help that they arrived late.Luckily I am a skilled knife sharpener, so I fixed the tools and now they work just as good as some even more expensive tools.
