Astoundingly good transparent overdrive for the price
This pedal seems to be increasing in price as people realise what a great deal it is. I have two - one I picked up for about £15 and one for £20.I directly compared this pedal with numerous others, including budget and more expensive options, e.g. TC Electronic Cinders, Boss SD-1, Zen Drive, Mosky Golden Horse, Blues Driver, Soul Food.My main requirement is a "transparent" type of overdrive that is touch-responsive (I play with fingers). I want a pedal that can go from clean to dirty based on playing alone. I'm not looking for huge amounts of distortion, but I want a pedal with a reasonable range. Not only does this Caline pedal do what I want, it sounds better to me than any of the other pedals I compared it to and has worked through every amp I've tried it with. The gain knob goes from a small boost type of effect up to pretty heavy, EQ options are good. Transparent is (for once!) a very good description of this. Genuinely seems to preserve underlying tone. People say this is a Timmy clone and I don't have a Timmy to compare it to. From what I've heard online, I think this pedal has a unique sound of its own which is "Timmy-like".Construction is decent, although the footswitch is soldered directly to the board so if you're stomp-happy it will likely break at some point. Do what I did and just buy a spare!I never would have thought I'd be saying a £20 no-brand distortion pedal would not only sound great but end up being my favourite pedal, but there it is!

Beautiful pedal
This is a very pretty pedal with amazing sounds. The overdrive goes from zero, all through the subtle breakup zone and into some nice distorted tones. It has an excellent range in my opinion and all of the positions on the gain control sound beautiful. The range on the tone controls is subtle but covers enough ground to be very useful in shaping the tone without having silly extremes to avoid. The finish on the case isn't perfect but this a £27 pedal so that's not expected and the case is metal at least. What is top quality though is the feel and resistance of the knobs. They're smooth with a firm gluey resistance that means you can gently nudge the knob up or down just a tiny bit if needed. You'll never spin it too far but you can go through the full range easily too.I usually record guitar through amp and fx sims in my computer but nothing I have can give the tone and sound quality of this cheap little gorgeous pedal! Finally, as a bonus it comes with 4 little stick-on rubber feet and an adapter cable so you can plug in a battery and plug it into the 9v power supply port - handy!

Sounds great!
Sounds great paired with my strat and blues jr. Offers a wide range of overdrive but excels in the low to mid range. The pedal has transparent mids and very shapeable bass and treble thanks to the control knobs- which have a pretty big range. In particular there is a lot of bass on tap even at noon, which sounds great giving a warm undertone to chords. Gets 4 and not 5 because there is a slight fizziness on sustaining chords, but this is a budget pedal so not too disappointed. All in all this pedal sounds pretty great and is at a great price point

An outstanding pedal.
This is an outstanding pedal irrelevant of how affordable it is. I must admit I have no previous experience with the drive pedal it's based on, the 'Timmy' you'll see lots of direct comparisons on YouTube to see how it stacks up side by side, but in general this is an outstanding pedal, I've added it to my pedal board and used it numerous times live. There is a vast amount of drive on tap to make it versatile for whatever genre you play, you can use it as a boost or a straight overdrive pedal into a clean amp, to be honest I now hardly use my tubescreamer as this covers all the same sort of territory for my purposes. It does the classic rock/blues thing great. It's powered by a standard 9v DC cable. Don't believe it has an option for battery power but these days everyone uses a power supply. Overall this is a fantastic device, can't believe how good it is for the price, it's earned its place amongst all my significantly more expensive pedals. Admittedly the metal chassis doesn't feel the most robust, and I'd imagine the artwork would chip off if you dropped it but it's a minor inconvenience never in any danger of feeling cheap or likely to break. I also really like the actual footswitch, really easy to turn off and on. Would highly recommend taking the plunge and getting this to anyone interested.

Excellent overdrive, incredible value
I absolutely love this pedal. The Pure Sky delivers a beautiful, creamy, rich overdrive that sounds fantastic through a clean amp. I run it into a Fender Deluxe Reverb and a Twin, and it just sings. One thing I really like is how responsive it is to different guitars. Depending on what you plug in, it can sound lightly gritty or more driven, which makes it very versatile. Some people describe it as a “transparent” drive. To my ears it’s not totally transparent, but that’s absolutely fine because the tone it adds sounds amazing.I also own an MXR Timmy (which the Pure Sky is modelled on). They are definitely similar, but the Pure Sky has a little something different in the character that I really like. In fact, they sound brilliant stacked together. I keep the Timmy always on as a low-gain drive, then use the Pure Sky for lead parts or when I want slightly more drive.Considering the Timmy costs around £180 and this pedal is a fraction of the price, the value here is incredible.Honestly, for the money you should just buy it

Great for the Money, But...
Pretty decent sounding overdrive. To be honest, for this price, anything would be good, but the medium-higher gain settings on this do really sound great. Once you get about halfway on the gain knob and up, the sounds are really surprisingly great for classic rock, plus the EQ lets you really dial this in as a boost before or after other dirt pedals. For what I wanted it for though, a transparent low gain overdrive just to add a tiny bit of dirt to a clean sound, this has that dreaded "crackly" sustain which I just can't enjoy. It's such a shame because the foundations are great, and the pedal is very touch sensitive, but that fizzly crackle on chords and harder playing on the lower gain settings just doesn't do it for me. I wonder if this is related to the issues mentioned below - and perhaps I have a faulty unit?Another thing worth mentioning is the 9v input being on the bottom left side of the pedal - just worth noting if you're considering buying one, because it's a really awkward place to have to have a power input - especially if you daisy chain your dirt pedals! Lastly, I did notice that the 9v input actually produces visible sparks when you plug in a power cable. I have never seen this with another pedal before.Anyways, on the whole, if you need a cheap overdrive, go for it. It's hard to be truly disappointed at this price. It's genuinely great for a rock/blues sound and tone sculpting, but not quite what I'm after in a low-gain overdrive.

Fantastic pedal. Cant recommend enough
This pedal is fantastic. As a clean boost it absolutely brilliant. No hum or buzz at all. You can use it with the gain at 0 and it's just a pure clean sound and what a boost...all the way to 11! It's transparent too so you if you keep the tone and bass at 12 it doesn't colour the sound of your instrument or amp. But you can also dial up or down the bass and treble if you want to. If you use the gain you get a lovely warm overdrive with a good amount of range. It works well in conjunction with my blues breaker, fuzz and distortion pedals and is also lovely on it's own. It can clean boost the other pedals or add some amp breakup tone/sound with a little gain added. I found this worked best with the gain at 10 O Clock. For some reason the gain becomes a bit noisy when used in conjunction with my compressor pedal but that could be down to my compressor. Further investigation needed.I believe it is a Timmy clone and in fairness I haven't tried the Timmy but I know the Timmy is 4/5 times the price of the Pure Sky and online reviews put them as being very close in performance and sound. I'm not mad on the look of the pedal and I think the paint job cheapens it a bit, but it is solid and the dials and potentiometers seem to be very smooth with nice resistance. The only negative I can see is that the power supply socket it not connected to the casing from the inside and feels a little weak as a result. It operates fine but if you were rough with it I could see it bending or breaking. It doesn't take a battery internally btw, but it came with a 9 volt battery adapter cable so you could use an external battery if needed. Amazing pedal for the £25

Great Value for money pedal
Bought this to replace a Joyo Vintage Overdrive (tube screamer clone) which was a good pedal, but could get noisy when stacked with other overdrives, used it mainly as a clean boost. I also had some Boss pedals on the board, CS-3, Blues Driver and DS-1, great pedals individually, but real tone-suckers when put together, too many Boss' spoil the broth. The Caline Blue Sky is a great choice if you like to stack your overdrives, it does a great job as a clean boost, doesn't alter your amp tone, just gives you more of it. As you can see in the pic. i have a Caline 10 band EQ and an Orange Burst Overdrive used as another boost with slightly more gain, then into the Soul Food, the EQ is for adjustments between humbuckers and single coils, so i don't need to adjust the pedals. The great thing about pocket friendly pedals like Caline is, they can allow you to use the money you save, to put towards higher end effects such as reverbs and delays where higher quality does matter. If you just want a pedal board for your bedroom, i think you could put together a pretty decent one using Caline pedals.

Puresky is Pure Quality
Why is this pedal so good?! $40 is wild for such a great sounding and useful pedal. The bass and treble knobs give extra versatility tonally and I can't recommend it enough.I've had everything from this to custom made ODs and this holds its own no problem

Pedal excelente

DS9)
